That was a solid 5 or 6 hours failure.

The sight has been offline in some form or other for the last 5 hours. And not just the usual down message or for maintenance, for the last 4.5 hours it was completely offline.

Same. I even checked "Is it down or is it just me?" and it was DOWN for EVERYONE.

Good to know it was everyone and my computer doesn't just have some weird problem. I do wonder what was different about that one though.

Server gone busy from 2:16 - 2:23 PM EST.

A 4-5 hour outage?! That's quite unacceptable! This problem needs to be fixed right away! Get a new server, upgrade the forum software!

since people have been recording the time/date, has there been any progress on assessing the problem? its been a while since this was posted and i havent seen any progress report type or communication.

edit: ainwood's post was from feb 20, and since then i havent seen a progress report.

I'm starting to grow concern about this as well. Especially with a huge outage this morning after the backups have been performed.

I have asked our hosts to look into whether there is anything else running on the server that could being contributing to issues. I am waiting to hear back.

This afternoon, the forums have been more busy than up, now with massive slowdowns just before the "Server is too busy" message kicks in!! :rolleyes:

Its so bad that I've given up keeping a time log of when it goes down and up since it goes down not within 15 minutes later for 15-30 minutes.

Heck even the Steam servers are more reliable than this site!
