I apologize for the past couple of delays; my uncle just passed away, and we had to deal with those such requirements. The funeral was yesterday; all the same, we should be back on schedule starting today. Update forthcoming.

Chapter 11
You open your eyes slowly as you awaken, observing the ebony contours stretched across the ceiling. You stretch softly, reaching your arm out to feel your weapon beside you. Grasping it in one hand, you sit up slowly.
Another operative is also awake, sitting up against the nearby wall. "Sleeping on the floor sucks," he mutters.
You nod.
After a brief pause, he continues, "I'm going for a walk. I can't stand the smell in here."
You chuckle. "You aren't scared of the bogies out there?"
The mercenary shakes his head. Cocking his firearm, he stands up and proceeds towards the exit, trudging softly to avoid waking the others.
You watch him leave; after he's gone, you reach into your bag to pull out a small ration package to pass the time. You rip open the plastic covering and chew on the tasteless bar of compressed nutrients. The company didn't even try to add flavoring to it. You guess they already understand that it rarely matters.
You finish swallowing your second bite when you hear the mercenary running back into the room. He mutters something incoherent as he leans over, panting.
"What?" you say, raising your voice. The others begin to stir.
He breaths for a few seconds before continuing. "The cave-in....that blocked the exit....it's gone! Vanished! Disappeared!"

The vast majority of operatives head towards the Lake, anticipating finding at least some sort of lead into opening the safe in the Catalog Room.
Gunfire could be heard during the Night; it lasts for a few fierce seconds before silencing itself once more.
All operatives reported for morning roll call.
Day 07 begins now, lasting 48 hours.
