NOTW LVI: The Demon Council [Game Thread]

2 things

1) Visor, you can blame zaccino if you want, but the rules say people have an item or ability. "Zero powers" is even more than some "ability" like a mason or something, if that is considered

2) i made a joke about robots to someone, and I want to make it clear that the Imperium does not condone robots and they continue to be a bane to us

Oh I know kennigit. I just don't feel it is necessary to share quite yet, as the information is far more valuable the longer the game goes on. (I have no active or passive power, but I do have... some info.) The info is useless now.

unvote, vote: Winston, where are ye? Does your vote count for two?

Visor is 100% town unless there's a second scum team, and even then he's still probably town. Why would he bus Bladescape?

Dear Lords, have no fear: I have everything written down!

I'm tempted to attempt to read people off their intro post but I don't see too much that points in either direction.

I like Choxorn for town and Takhisis for town immediately though.

You got it right with one of those alright.
Lord of District 5 is not among us anymore. Lord Spymaster, you should immediately send a written order to put your department on the highest alert! I can help you with writing.

Spoiler :
Choxorn

Because 5.

bladescape

Some "Protector" you are. Then how did these assassins get in?
Friendly bickering between choxorn and bladescape.

Spoiler :
Hope. Without hope one can not truly suffer.

For example - your accusation against me is another sign of hope that you might antagonize me enough that i might make your death swift. But alas each day I spare you is only heighten the sense of pain I will inflict on you.

Unless that assassins get you first in which case I'll be using the words of the late Prime Demonlord, boned.

So in order to enact out my most diabolical plans I need to make sure we take out the assassins. Choxorn stands out as a likely candidatem
Sprig votes choxorn.

Spoiler :
Visor's probably right, so Unvote, Vote: Jarrema, because he does look a bit scummy.

Unvote, Vote: spaceman98. This is absolutely town Visor, not mafia Visor. Compare how he acted in this thread to how he acted as a townie in the last NOTW and how he acted as a mafia in High Society.

Apologies for my inactivity here. Another mafia game I'm in has really heated up and I'm putting all my time over there at the moment.

That said,

Unvote
Vote: Spaceman
choxorn follows Visorslash voting Jarrema and spaceman98. bladescape votes spaceman98.

Nothing else connecting choxorn and bladescape.

4 Jarrema (Kennigit, landlubber, Visorslash, Double A)

1 Visorslash (Jarrema)
1 Winston Hughes (Snerk)

Posting, Not Voting: Al Sipsclar, Arakhor, KingMorgan

[TIMER=9/11/2015 3:00 PM CDT; Day Two Over]tunnel snakes rule[/TIMER]

I'm going to go with Kennigit, who I had voted for yesterday before finding out that we could either support or vote for a player.

I will give Visorslash, landlubber and those who voted for spaceman lynch immunity for the moment, as it's unlikely they'd vote (and resultingly lynch) a teammate on Day 1.

So I'll break my own personal rules for a second (always complaining about people referencing previous games)

Truth is that I'm secretly--maybe not so secretly-- terrible at remembering people. I don't actually remember spaceman being scum in a long while and have no clue what he "looks like" as scum.

Because I know you like to be a good little townie but boy does that seem flinchy mr lord of district 6.

anyways I'm happy sticking on sprig. Contrary to mr spaceman, my vote actually was full random.
Kennigit actually calling out spaceman's flinch before Visor was woken up.

There is a big tell with Kennigits game. If he starts dropping text bombs on a regular basis, you better believe he's town.

Narrowing down people already.

I sorta want to put some pressure on spaceman now actually.
Visorslash clears Kennigit.

Nah. Searching sounds like work. Some intern at the embassy can do that. Im being explicitly lazy

Spaceman came down HARD against your bandwagon. Not just in the "i have some PIS and want to speak against a wagon". I have a tough time thinking a scum does that (relatively) unprompted unless a plan was in place. Not like being right on 1 townie gives a lot of credit.

It wouldnt surprise me if there were like 4 scum and they openly bussed their partner day 1. I can hear options.

I dont have great night results but I know 1 person isnt the night 1 killer. So there's that

Spoiler :
Turns out visor was right. Town Kennigit is going to do a huge text post here lol.

Hold your horses! Although I know most of the council does not ride as often as I must, as I do have to make some trips out to meet folks from the Imperium and do some ribbon cutting ceremonies.

So I will first say this:

1) I fully believe jarrema will be a scum and the primary bad guys (blood mages) will be close to elimination and we (the demon council) shall have an easy time to ride to victory (SOME of which could be done on horseback). The blood mages are obviously the main kill and

Then, I will say this:

2) I'm going to "throw away" the concept of one unified scum team because I just don't see a world of spaceman acting the way he did. Even a "Day 1 buss our partner" would fall apart so quickly. Spaceman prematurely flinched in trying to do a whole bunch of (likely phony) analysis on literally 1 or 2 votes. On day 1! AND we know spaceman explicitly acknowledges day 1 is semirandom.

The only way I see spaceman acting the way he did BEFORE Jarrema even posted is if he earnestly believes there is another scum out there. Even if he didn't, he'd probably have to maintain the whole "look at me doing good analysis all game" and people would have to question it over time since it would ALWAYS be wrong (if he knew his teammates), without strategic bussing.

Then I will say:

3) Zack did explicitly say this game was similar to a game that was (apparently) quite wonky, just reading the scum PMs.

http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=8229498&postcount=749

one scum team in fact didn't have a night kill, and a scum team also operated through the body of a unknowingly compliant controlled person to perform kills [I only know the team role PM as of right now]

Obviously Zack had to de-scope his plans when this changed from a 30 to 18 player game, but the fundamental concept can remain. We can face scum who don't nightkill, or even face scum who have bodily control of others.

Or classic cult and such could exist, which would make this completely separate from that other game mechanically for the scum side of things.

I want to get this game resolved. I am fairly confident Jarrema will just be scum but I do not want to open to floodgates to informing some serial killing ghost demon scum or cult or whatever. Caution will guarantee victory

Let us see the result of the Jarrema lynch first

Finally 4) only because I promised Visor I was going to criticize him

what was that about lol. Mr "I won't PM this game visor" did in fact PM kingmorgan presumably for 1 vote on him. That is ALSO flinchy. Which I don't like at the moment.

I will follow the very well written advice of our Imperial friend and vote:Jarrema

Also Takhisis.
What?
Lord of District 5 is not among us anymore. Lord Spymaster, you should immediately send a written order to put your department on the highest alert! I can help you with writing.
Please write down that you haven't written down your vote and that my own vote is a pressure one on Al Sipsclar.

Honorary mention for Winston who appears to be a double-voter and appears not to be drawing any attacks from our killers.

bladescape is alive and he wasn't lynched…

Heh, I've checked the tally. Both you and bladescape voted for Spaceman. ‘Yay, go team’, I guess.

Arakhor you keep dancing around the question.
You posted around the argument but never once took a stance directly.

I'm not sure how much more clearly I can say that I had no certain knowledge either way, mostly because it was Day One. This should not be a surprise. I also have painful experience of committing too early and getting fried because of it.

That said, reading back on it, it's fairly apparent that Spaceman was up to no good and Jarrema certainly seems to want Visor dead, which probably indicates that he's anti-town, but I really do not think Jarrema is also a blood mage. A third, anti-town, faction perhaps?

I'm willing to believe that you have a more-or-less vanilla role, Visor, because of your activity in my game. Kennigit also seem to distrust you though, and I don't trust KingMorgan to be innocent, but I could be completely wrong.

Zack said:
... humans are from the Hendarr Republic (i.e. the Blood Mages) in the northeast and the Imperium in the south, where they fight against their robot neighbors in the Silicon Ascendancy.
I'm going to go with Kennigit here and say that there's more than one anti-town faction. If Jarrema is anti-town, as seems likely, he and Spaceman are on different teams.

Ibut I really do not think Jarrema is also a blood mage. A third, anti-town, faction perhaps?
Why?
I will give Visorslash, landlubber and those who voted for spaceman lynch immunity for the moment, as it's unlikely they'd vote (and resultingly lynch) a teammate on Day 1.
Yeah looking at the Space and Visor wagons and how they developed, I don't see a huge probability of bussage. But I also doubt the entire scum team would have joined me on the Visor wagon. Low key votes on third party would also be typical.

The reason I think that is what I was (obliquely) referring to in my PM to you.

Secret communications, eh?
