Frontier Justice [Game Thread]

Omega is behaving rather too defensively for just a couple of hours into the day...

So is that grounds for a vote or no? You've posted a fair amount but haven't voted yet. I know there isn't much to go on yet, but early voting generates more discussion than early not voting

unhat: Arakhor

those who do not vote shall not break ties. Honestly this post reads as the most suspicious to me so far because it points out something fairly obvious, while avoiding taking a strong stance on it.

Current talley is:

Omega: 4 (King Morgan, JK, SK, Tak)
JK: 2 (Omega, edse)
Mat: 1 (spaceman98)
King Morgan: 1 (Mat)

not bothering with the hat votes because that's too much effort

I can see Omega being either town or mafia so far and since there's already a lot of votes there, so not going there. I also don't like the JK wagon, he's been pretty active and pretty bold so far. I could have sworn there was another mat voter but I guess not. not that there's any reason to be a mat voter at this point.

unvote: vote: Arakhor per above. If Omega's votes are so telling and intresting (as oppose to normal D1 self-defense) then take a positon on them

lol the other mat voter happened while I was posting this. Spaceman confirmed crystal ball :p

This is only my third post, but I didn't vote for Omega, because she's already collecting votes quite quickly. Since you insist though, vote: Spaceman98. :mischief:

Hoo-boy, I was enjoying a nice heaping bowl-o'-ar-ma-dilla-chili but looks like we got some outlaws to rastle. A group o' them too!

I call scumbuddies on edse and Megs!

I believe the technical term is a "pardner".

So who are these rowdy rustling reprehensible rascals threatin'in old Westville?

First off, the most obvious suspect is vote: SouthernKing. Imagine my disappointment when his avatar, which I assumed was just a bias of his fer a pretty lady woman there, is actually some eye-rolling gif. Son I ain't looking fer a fight on the top tier kpop ladies but I thought fer a minute you were!

Now, secondly, I obviously am the most deser-ved of the cool hat, seeing as I already own the coolest belt buckle, but I'm prepositioning or propositioning or proposaling that it'd go to KingMorgan for the cool hat

Now lastly, I'm going to turn my attention to the local feral cat, Takhisis:

Takhisis is a vanilla townie so, if the hat is, say, cursed by an old indian medicine man, then the curse can be expended on him.

Also, vote:Omega124 is talking too much.

Ever since those yuppies in Eastville tried to ban gambling I've taken a kindness to those indian's casinos, they're real good folk and you best not be insulting them.

But-a-seein' as I am a gambling man, I'm going to declare that the second-most-likely-town-person behind myself is Takhisis. That's a big gamble to say but we gotta see how things a-play out.

'Fore ya think "why vote the hat to someone else", we all know if Takhisis had the hat it'd be impossible to get that kitty into the fold, we all know the phrase herding cats. Whoever has the hat has ta do something with it, a cat in a hat is no use.

hat clarification:

If there is ever a tie, the player in possession of the hat is the only person who's vote counts, i.e. the rest of the tally does not mean anything. Even if the tie is between two people with 5 votes and hat guy is voting for someone with only 2 votes, the tie means the guy with only 2 votes (who hat guy is voting) is lynched. If hat guy does not vote and there is a tie, hat guy dies.

Voting for hat - effect takes place immediately (ie the same day the hat is voted on). If there is a tie for the hat vote, then the hat instead goes to the first person to post in that day phase.

You ain't got nothin' on me fer once, an' it sure be one hell of a right decision, cowboy!

Now, I ain't insultin' no Injuns, not even them red ones. Now, this kitty here is int'rested in one thing only: catching them scum. Why're you insinuatin' that I could possibly not vote?

Right, so right now I don't think there's enough real information one way or the other to make any real damning claims one way or the other. However, I want to give a finger of suspicion to Takhisis, for two major reasons.

1. I'm new to this community. But I know Takhisis knows who I am. We've talked to each other in OT (Norwomen? Remember that), and he even joined my most recent IOT, as a person who never joins IOT. For him to act like he didn't know my most common nickname, in hindsight, is actually pretty suspicious tbh.

2. "Talk too much" is actually generally an indication of a townie, not a scum. It's the mafia players that tend to not speak much, since they have to carefully craft their own words in order to not look suspicious. That's the case I've always seen when I play mafia irl: the silent ones are always the actual scum. Now, if I was saying things that indicated I was scum, that would have been one thing, but I haven't really, have I?

I mean, what exactly have I done this game? I tried to give the hat to my friend outside of the game since I trust him and his judgment, he immediately responds by claiming I'm scum, and SK, another friend and quite a well known troll (look at my just recent birthday thread for evidence for that. Posted a picture of Saber in my Lucina themed birthday thread because there's a rival in IOT over the fans of the two characters), decided to vote against me probably as a joke because that how he rolls. Then a bandwagon against me forms.

I don't know if Joan is a scum, he thinks I'm a scum, or if he's just trying to haze me, but all I can say is that, for people voting for SK this round, knowing the two of them really well, I'd highly suspect Joan is the scum if either of them are. SK starting a bandwagon fits how I know him, Joan deciding to accuse me out of the blue like that does not. This is actually extremely out of character for him.

Tl;dr: people voting for SK, you should switch your votes to Joan. Joan is acting way more suspicious than SK is.

Them bureaucrats in Eastville tried to ban bandwagons after they all deemed our annual parade celebratin' the battle of GhostWriter Creek was somehow a "public discussion of moderator action"

I'll bandwagon if I very well please

note, this post is a mighty fine joke for oldies here

I voted for Megs because I didn't know who to vote. Nobody does on D1. Except scum, of course.

Why're ye defendin' yersel' on Day One with so little pressure that we couldn't even burst a balloon in it, is what I am wonderin'.

Dang governor, thinkin' he can stifle a free man's right to armed bears and freedom o' speech!
