On mars already, waiting!
heres a unit for the Warhammer 40,000 mod. All thanks to Gamesworkshop who own all rights relating to warhammer 40K, bloodangels, space marines power armour, etc.......

The unit is made from a green base model and recoloured so I may post some alternative chapter colour versions.

The flicks and civlopedia can be found here; Space marine

You are AMAZING! Thank you thank you thank you THANK YOU.

That looks cool :D

What color green do you use? Are you able to get two different areas that could be recolored without crossover? (maybe with a yellowish green and a bluish green...)

This is awesome. Also a StarCraft type marine would also be very useful...

We already have three different varieties of "power armor" units now. One is the Final Fantasy type Future Infantry, the other is the Fallout type power armor. Oh oh oh, not to forget BeBro's futuristic infantries.

This is a great addition to the collection Smoking Mirror. You're smokin'...

The green has to be a very pure green when making animations that feature changes of light and special effects, but a camo or other patern could probably be worked in to a unit that had quite basic effects (no coloured lights or smoke).

Its perfect for space marines, eldar or other stupidly bright coloured soldier designs, but often works poorly for more traditional designs.

Sounds like Dark Angels to me :)

Well, I think I may have managed to modify a civ coloured armour version. It works well in the run animation so far, have to test it with the attack and death animations tomorrow. If it works well I'll put together a full civ coloured version. It still leaves a few colour versions that cannot be made easily using civ colours, (the dark green is not dark enough for the dark angels) but be aware that it is possible to create your own custom civ colours by modifying the colour pallettes in civ III, so you could create a dark green, but not the brownish dark green available in the statndard colours.

Here is the civ coloured run for you to try out, good colours to use are;
civ colour 0, white scar space marines
civ colour 1, blood angels
civ colour 6, ultramarines
civ colour 12, space wolves
civ colour 16, black templars
civ colour 22, imperial fists
civ colour 29, dark angels

Cool Spacemarine Smoking mirror :goodjob: Here are the Small.pcx file and the units_32.pcx made from your Upload...also included the Large.pcx with the shadow a bit softened. Reds are difficult to make units_32.pcx files for as you know but Best I can do with what I had. The Gun is Civ Specific colored.

Not to echo Goldflash, but if the figure was green, why not make the Dark Angels first?

'Cause Blood Angels are cooler. :P

I hate to criticize, but as long as it's purely constructive...
This unit and your last unit (I think?) the generic infantry, seem to have the same problem of being very, well, fuzzy. Do you know what I mean? It seems like a lot of the contours and lines on your units could be sharper. Maybe it's the program you use? I don't know. I just wanted to point it out, I'm not trying to insult anyone. Maybe you could use a higher resoulution?

It looks promising though. Keep it up.

I don't really see any problem. This is one GREAT (and much needed) unit (yay! :yeah: ) You're always going to loose detail when different parts of the model are the same colour though (can't be helped with a Space Marine). Dease has a similar porblem with his recent heavy-tank.

@muffins
Very true.
