I like the way he looks.. something bothers me about the death animation. The start is good, but its like he is instantly on his back.

Nice that you modified it with a more fitting victory animation. Now it's a real boxer! :goodjob:

yup. Given to th.em by the British because of them always raising their right clenched fist at rallies and stuff. Gave the impression of a boxers fist or something I guess.

I tried to find a reference on the web but this is as close as I could find. Acording to Wikipedia they called themselves "Fists of Righteous Harmony", which kind of fits in with the theme.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxer_Rebellion or http://www.smplanetcom/imperialism/fists.html

They also believed they had magical powers and that they could become invincible to bullets given the right mental training.

shame Fox Networking got cancelled this show :( I loved Futurama.

I know...it could be real funny at times...especially the episode with Al gore as the guardian of the space-time continium(which also incidently featured the creator of Dungeons and Dragons...lol)

Gary Gygax.

Very nice, I've been wanting this unit. But I have to agree that the death anim is very odd, too strange and silly for my liking. He throws his arms out to the side and lowers his head like he's about to take a bow (which is odd enough), and then he HOPS onto his back. Hops on one foot, it looks like. A peculiar way to go out.

No sweat dude. You're boxer animation is near perfect. I was surprised that you even took your time to edit the victory animation. You deserve an aplause. :king:

Excellent! The death ani makes me think he's doing a back dive! I'm going to use this as a Chinese WWII partisan. Unless someone knows of such a unit already???

This should be a Chinese counterpart to the Civ3 Rifleman :) For a Chinese Partisan I'd suggest to take the CTP one and add a straw hat via C&P

If I remember correctly, the term 'boxer' originates from an incorrect western translation of the movement name.

Not sure if that had any relevance to anything...
