RPC Supergenius
well, I am back and I am starting up a new RPC series of mine. This serves as a summary page for these new RPC games(the original RPC summary thread deserves it's own place) as they are played out, and is a forum for discussions!
This series will be alot less structured than the previous as there is no limit to 52 leaders. I will play as new leaders/people from history or current times for the fun of it but utilizing the existing leaders (I am not modding new ones) and civilizations, although I may mix and choose (Somewhere, Boudica of Rome needs to be played!).
So fire away with suggestions although I am not spilling the beans on future games.
The first is up and posted entitled "Yes We Can" in honor (is that the right word ) of the New American president and inspired by Slobbering Bear's Classic DUBYA RPC!
As before thise games are meant for fun, but will have some sort of educational economy/strategy, and of course RULES!
Barak Obama: Yes We Can: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=328751 Where Obama was concerned only with what everyone thought of him and a UN diplomatic Victory was all we could accept. Justinian got a UN diplomatic win around 1500AD which sort of was within the rules . Noted for a very fast tech pace and an early UN build date!
Vladimir Lenin I: Comrade Chairman: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=330071 An Abandoned game as our land was too massive to handle and the AP votes was destroying the game disasterously. Lenin is returning in a second try.
Vladimir Lenin II: Comrade Lenin: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=330985 A dominating Production based game using the Great Lighthouse and Colossus to keep the economy a float until State Property. We got a UN Diplo win the same turn we launched Sputnik into space while involved in a Nuclear War with the Americans!
Nikola Tesla: Mad Scientist or Supergenius: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=332543 A Cultural Victory loss to Gandhi of Arabia after trying to finish the tech tree and a Space Race win. Noted for the Telsa Death Weapon (Nukes!) used to try and destroy the Arabian third culture city.
It's a MAD, MAD, MAD MAD World: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=334074 A conquest win on an earth-18 map with myself playing as Genghis Khan and the other leaders assigned as Civfanatics volunteers. Noted for the glory of Asia and the extensive depopulation of Europe and the Americas, as only a Khan can do!
The Gupta's: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=337230 A game where we tried for a peaceful win playing Gandhi of Indian as reincarnations of the Guptas (after the first try became unbearingly boring). A miserable game ending in a late game invasion by Khmer and Babylonia about 80 turns before we went culture.
King Midas and the Golden Touch: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=338139Where we played as King Midas using Hannibal and got a late game culture win on the back of a massive amount of corporation culture.
Dr. Livingston Discovers Aztec InBreeding: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=339888 Where we got a UN diplomatic victory on a Aborea huge map with 18 Montezumas!
King George III: The American Revolution: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=342802 Where started as England on an earth map where the New world Civilizations were removed. We them quickly discovered astronomy, settled the New World, built the Palace in Williamsville, and were forced into a premature American independence by a vicious Russian attach on England. America survived and flourished, winning a space race game while nuking the hell out of France and Russian for vengence.
The Prophet M: Islamic Jihad: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=344827 Where we got a spacerace win after founding Islam and spreading it throughout the entire world. A true Jihadist game as we played against the biggest Zealots in the game with the agressive setting on.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: The Prime Directive: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=346739 Where we won a space race victory as Captain Jean-Luc Picard of Start Trek after starting on the eastern coast of Australia on an earth map.
Satan and the End of Days: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=348464 Where we got a conquest win playing as Satan (charismatic and agressive) as Aztecia and had to get a Conquest win with limited civics (like eternal slavery). Noted for absolutely abysmal tech rate such as sailing at 435 AD, Ironworking at 715 AD (for the UU), rifles at 1815 AD, and an axe-rush of Charlemagne of the Ottomans at 1300 AD!
The Dalai Lama: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=350549 A One City Challenge on an earth-18 map starting from an improved Tibet. Added the Christo rendentor from turn 1 and got a Space Race win.
MAd Scientist, The New World Order, A Mod: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=351630 Where I played a normal game, but used a MOD I made which changes traits in addition to adding 2 new ones (Secretive and Seafaring). Randomly we got Brennus (Secretive and Charismatic) and ran a heavy espionage game to win via Space with a very Brutal and difficult race at the end. This may be the start of a new posted game series, and is not really an "RPC" to say.
Oh Israel, search for the Promised Land: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=353059 Where we played as Israel and had an very difficult map and were hopelessly at war with teh Persians. Abondonned and restarted and the Rebirth of Israel.
Rebirth of Israel: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=353534 A replay worked much better with a string and many historic Jewish people as leader ending with Albert Einstein splitting in half to get Israel a two-fold victory, Space and domination of the Nuked home continent, thus Israel had 2 promised lands glaring at each other.
Simon Bolivar, Rise of the Amazon: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=355807 Where we played as Joao starting in South America on an Earth-18 map. After one of the worse technological starts we almost managed to catchup until Shaka invaded us from Africa and doomed the Amazonians.
King Kamehameha, This Side of PAradise: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=357215 Where we got a UN diplomatic win in a tropical Ocean Paradise.
Sid Meier, The Civilized Tyrant: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=362647 A COnquest Victory on a Huge 6 Hemisphere Map using the 40 Civ MOD (And playing against 39 AIs!).
The Immortal Mad: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=377446 Not an RPC but a walkthrough at the Immortal level playing as Mansa Musa on a Big/Small map. Got a Space Race victory in 1866.
Thomas Jefferson, Manifest Destiny: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=9785133#post9785133 Where we gained complete control of our continent early at the expense of technologyand ended up losing to Mansa by Culture, then Hammurabi by Space.
Askia the Brute: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=399739 Where we played as MAnsa Musa on the 34 leader earth-map mod and won by Conquest/Domination/Diplomaticy at the same time.
Julian AAssange: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=408728 Where we played as Julian Assange using Fred's traits and SUmmeria's civilization for a espionage game and came within 4 turns of a SPace Race victory, losing in a UN vote to Degaulle.
Attila the Hun: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=424369 Where we played a Pangea crowded map with teh goal of detroying civilization only to be =destroyed by Civilization first!
Revenge of the Huns, reboot: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=439797 Where we were overrun by the BArbarians of Civilization. Atilla may return again after licking his wounds.
John D. Rockefeller: in progress
