Zappara, sorry to bother you again with german translations. I have played a little bit of RoM in German (runs fine so far!) and found a few more errors. I have corrected them in the following files:

RoM_GameText_Objects.xml
RoM_GameTextInfos_Promotions.xml
RoM_CIV4GameText_Marsh.xml

I attach the full RoM 2.81 Assets/Text files as I have replaced all of the ä, ö, ü and ß from the german texts by their xml code, as I have learned that e.g. on chinese windows Civ4 doesn´t run when those letters are in the xml. I really feel bad not having done that before, as you now have added all those other language tags in your current version. So it´s up to you, of course, if you want to include all these files, but I would ask you to at least merge in the 3 files with corrected errors.

Sorry for causing you efforts I could have avoided...

Here's RoM 2.9 translation template which holds new tags for Finnish, Hungarian, Polish, Russian, Chinese and Japanese - I know for sure that at least for these languages there's translation projects and at the moment I have the following translations waiting merging:

simplified chinese (RoM 2.62), missing lot of entries from new RoM version
Polish (RoM 2.81) - uses french tags so it will be painful operation to merge this one
Japanese (RoM 2.71?)
Hungarian - not complete
Spanish - some updates
Italian - some updates

Note that new language choices won't work unless your Beyond the Sword has those languages included (localization). The template has just empty text entries for new languages so translations have to be added before they can be used in-game.

If you know other RoM translation projects and want me to add new text tags for it, let me know.

Zappara, did you add or change any text files since 2.81 going to this 2.9 template? What I mean is, are there any new files/entries compared to the german translations I did before which I should work on?
And if there are some (which I expect), any hint to which files would really save me a lot of time as I don´t need to go through all the files...

There will be new entries to various text files. At least BUG mod has already few new entries and I added couple to objects and events files. When I merge next RevDCM and BUG version, I'll bet there will be many updated text files. The template contains your german translation (updated version). Yesterday I updated some DCM+Inquisition Italian translation and lots of Spanish entries. I'll try to upload the updated files (I'll know them by the file modified date entry) at some point when we get bit closer the release date so you can take a look and update the translations for new entries.

Excellent Zappara, that is very helpful! I already have translated some files from the upcoming RevDCM and the BUG mod SVN so maybe that is already included in your version.

I just would like to mention that I will be "offline" all of February and early March, so that I can´t do any translations then.

I'm almost done with the translation : here the package with alle the translated files, for ROM 2.91.

The Strategy text is only partially translated, et I haven't translated the Pedia part (too much work), but all the other texts (events, units, techs, ...) are now accessible for french players.

Those files will also be included in the AND modmod (hopefully in the next version 1.73).

By the way, I improved some of the original french translation of BTS (3.19)

For v2.92 I've updated now French (should be pretty complete except pedias) and Spanish (all BUG options + RevDCM entries) translations. I've started the process of adding Polish text entries but that's going to take a while since they've used french tags for it and i need to move them one by one to polish text tags... so I doubt this will get into v2.92 but it definately will be in v3.0.

I also tried to get russian texts but unfortunately I couldn't locate them so if anyone know where to download the translation, could you get it and add the downloaded file to post here (as attachment) so I could grab it.

Is there any other translations available for RoM 2.91 that I could use and add to the mod?

Edit: RoM should be now completely translated in English, Germany and French. Spanish and Italian are incomplete but should be playable.

I'm french so I'ld like to help with the french translation.

Hi,

Welcome. I think almost all the main part are translated, but there are some translations that seems be 'provided by Google'. For example, Revolution mod Strings, some Diplomacy Text,...

I have started to correct those translations when I find them.

Your help is welcome : its quite easy to change a 'bad' translation.

* All the text is in the '*GameText*.xml' file (most of them in Rise of Mankind\Assets\XML\Text), in <French> tags.
* find the text you want to change in those files, correct it, and send the corrected files.
* If you want, you can PM the modifications, and I'll do the changes.

N'hésite pas à me contacter !

@Zappara :
Here some french corrections for ROM 2.92.

Hi Calvitix !

I actually play the LoR mod and i have translated it in french (except Pedia and Strategy).
The RevDCM component is actually already partially translated in french but the changes aren't included in RoM.
The RevDCM dev's said that it will integrate it soon or later (this have been two months since that).

You can see my LoR translation here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/369241/LoR v0.9.8d - French translation v1.1.7z
...And the RevDCM one here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/369241/RevDCM_v2.6_Fr.7z

I think you should use theses files to avoid some extra work ;) (and to correct it if you find better strings !).
