i respect Diplomatic immunity but i know how much it may irritate people ( for example one sick Byzantien person coudkl murder half the leadership and i don't punish him at all, could happen), so i don't give my own diplomats the immunity. i have it of course but ill be punished anyway by my own trials.

in response to the recent abandonment of most nations (thank you VERY much!) the rouge army as organized and begun to assault Constantinople, Ankara, Belgrade, 3 critical cities of the Republic. there is no word yet on who is winning.

Then why not do background checks on your own diplomats to prevent it from happening in the first place ;).

Byzantine news
the existing diplomats were screened, and over 2/3rds of which are fired. the new diplomats were screened and given their old jobs. thanks to the screening, diplomatic immunity is back.

in other words, Emperor Matthew Barabas broke the sound record for a Swear word. it was so loud it registered 4.5 on the Richter scale. the sound quake lasted for a full minute. only minor damage was done to Constantinople.

The IIA has traced Jean-Paul Merniot to operating out of the third floor of the Moshe Aviv Tower in Ramat Gan, Israel. Due to the gaining instability in the Mediterranean caused by the First Shadow group, the IIA put all of it's resources to destroying it. And they were effective.

Though, events made a turn for the worse, as right as the IIA was about to storm Jean-Paul Merniot's office, he saw us coming and set off a bomb. Killing himself and causing the entire building to collapse. Over 2,000 workers and staff within the building died, and the entire country is in mourning.

The IIA is now in full throttle trying to find the rest of the this organization, and is willing to co-operate with anyone suffering from their oppressive yoke.

Byzantium is willing to help israel and all other nations affected by the first shadow. once were done mopping up the Rouge Army.

makes sense. the island is uninhabited anyway. you'll need to pay 500,000 dollars. of course, the arrangement is permanent.

Byzantine news

the Rouge army which numbered in 750,000 has failed to capture Constantinople and Ankara. Belgrade however was captured, since the area does not have a high army density. 5000 Byzantine men and women who served in the army has being killed or captured. a grim day for Byzantium...

the Royal Intelligence Service tells us they have established the Second Serbian Republic which controls only Belgrade, and the leader (stupidly) boasted about how it's a terrorist aligned state. they have around 250,000 sort of armed men guarding the city.
 
While the airbase is being built, China is sending three of its aircraft carriers and 10,000 Marines to the Mediterranean to aid Byzantium and Carthage if requested.

Byzantine news

the Constantinople gaurds, with a few Chinese marines (505,000 men), are now besieging Belgrade, as its passive defenses are too great to assault directly. (Belgrade like every other major city is heavily fortified), but seeing as the Byzantine Emperor forbade the killing of any civilian in war, the siege isn't going too well.

a terrorist group called the First Shadow showed up and caused carthage a lot of greif. it was connected to the Byzantine Rouge Army which was.... well it controls Belgrade.
 
And China has sent a military force to the Mediterranean to restore order and has bought a Island from Byzantium.
 
Since a few days have passed with no substantial objections, shall I post the "official" map update with the newly-acquired territories?

I took the liberty of filling in a few errant blanks in otherwise consolidated territory.
I recoloured Zeleta to white as it is now an NPC, but it can be changed back if you have special plans for it.
 
Byzantine news

because the emperor issued an order to nto endanger the civilians of the city, the seige has being lifted but they simply aren't doing any damage. it is marked as inconclusive.

a small Byzantine plane bombed the heck out of a building where the Rouge army leadership is. it is a prescion strike and it suceeds. the rouge army is no more as Byzantine troops move in and arrested an astonishing 250,000 enemy soldiers.

the Byzantine emperor said this: "the Serbian rebels have being literally crushed by a small advanced plane. we have arrested 250,000 peopel and we will put them in trials,, cause there is bound to be some sort of innocent people. also we cant hold that many people in jail. there are no Byzantine civilians killed."

Byzantium thanks china for its help and has sent back 5000 marines to the chinese task force located... i forgot where.
 
I'm calling propaganda. No way you could bomb anything in an urban society without at least injuring a civilian.
 
Long story short, order is being restored throughout the Empire of Carthage. Merniot is apparently dead in Israel and rebel forces surrendering en masse. Recently captured documents may shed light on First Shadow activities and their involvement in the Emperor's death.

Carthage will continue to hunt for those criminal First Shadow terrorists who are on the run.
