Sirius Intra-Team Pitboss Game!

Pindicator, I noticed you logged in and finished the turn, but didn't finish the next turn. If you're reading this, please feel free to log back in and end this new turn as well. Moving twice in a row doesn't matter when it's this early in the game... no wars, no Settler races, so there is no issue with it. Better to keep the game moving along faster. :)

Saw that I was last and then played my turn. Out of habit I logged off and closed CIV. Then I realized, "Wait! I played last, that means the turn rolls over and I can play the next turn!"

So I did

Edit: Turns out i wasn't the only one who noticed!

Heh, all good then. :D

Fed, it looks like one of your civs hasn't finished their turn. There are still a few people left to play, but I wanted to make sure you were aware of this.

Now Fed's civ with the missed turn (Mali) is the only one left to play, and holding up the turn. This seems to have happened quite a bit lately... remember to double-check you press enter, Fed. ;)

I won't be able to play my turn today. My game computer has crashed. This message comes via a computer that cannot run the game. Hopefully I'll be back in the game late tomorrow (Friday).

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Okay, no worries. You should let Allan know so he can play your turns if you happen to still be away. :)

It looks as though I'll still be away. I don't know how to contact Allan. If you give me a way to contact you more privately, I'll give you Pacal's password.

You should be able to go to this page, type in his forum name (Allan79), and send him a private message.

By the way, I just noticed this discussion is in the wrong thread. I'll ask someone to move it.

Altjung cant login to multiplayer atm. So Ill be taking over Pacal for the time being until he gets the problem solved.

I think dima42 was looking for a spot a while back, so if Altjung won't be able to log in indefinitely then maybe dima42 could take over. :)

That's no problem, I understand. I prefer playing out the early game with both civs myself as well; I'll probably hand over one of my civs later on in the game, once the game is bigger and it's harder to play both turns. :)

Yay for Stonehenge! :)

I built it only about 12 real life hours after I built it in the Test Pitboss game. However, that one started earlier... in this game I built it on turn 27, whereas in that one it was turn 36.

Not bad, I don't think it could have been quicker unless I started with Mining, popped Bronze Working, or started with Stone under my capital.

Incidentally, sorry to hell_hound if you were going for it. There's a rule of thumb I have which usually works: Industrious will usually beat out a start with Stone in producing Stonehenge, unless the non-Industrious person actually settles on the Stone (in which case you sacrifice long-term capital production). ;)

With two civs benefitting from the free monuments, and neither of them being Creative... yes, I consider it quite a good early wonder in this case. ;)

Actually it depends on the circumstances though. If we hadn't had the house rule about not attacking until turn 40 in this game, I wouldn't have built it right off the bat, and may not have built it at all. Every game is different. :)
