Economy and industry: one of the largest economies, fast growing, with a well developed industrial base and a growing high-tech industry. Many still live in poverty, and one of the people's revolutionary government's main objective is to improve the standards of living for the poor in society. A massive coordinated nation-wide mobilization program aims to eliminate chronic poverty and double per capita GDP in ten years (note: program still in place even during war-time, but modified to aid the war effort).
Social policies: The Soviet Union believes in the sacred freedoms of expression, thought and speech. Naturally, however, some restrictions must be in place to prevent anti-social, counter-revolutionary behaviors which harms the people and frustrates the advance of socialism. Subversive activities or speech aimed at sabotaging the revolution against the people shall not be tolerated. All religion is tolerated but the Soviet Government shall be strictly secular and shall not promote religion. Harmful superstition will be cracked down upon.
Domestic policies: Freedom is merely privilege extended unless enjoyed by all. The people's revolutionary government works hard to alleviate social injustice and improve the quality of life for the people.
International policies: The Soviet Union supports the workers of the world and the global fight against feudalism, capitalism and imperialism. However, we are at heart a peace-loving nation, and is willing to work with the international community for the greater good for all mankind.
Military: A large (2.5 million currently active personnel, plus many, many more reserves) and well-equipped all-volunteer military is geared towards ground and air forces. We also have a paramilitary force of five million.
