[mod] Warlords: Total Realism Gold

I've installed the last patch for Warlords and then TR 2.2, but when I launch it a message says it cant find d3dx9_32.dll. Before everything was fine, what can I do now?

As Walter said, install DirectX.
If you have Vista and DirectX10, there can problems with this.

known problem with stand-alone 2.13 patch - must update directX as said by walter
(when patching to 2.13 via installing BtS, there is no problem with this, because BtS already update DirectX)

Great news, finally released.. though, i wont be ably to play it well with my crappy pc. Do the ones who play huge modpacks have some sort of super computers with 6 GHz processor, 10 Gb ddr2 ram and 512 Mb video card, etc? :D

i have AMD dual core 3800+ with 1 Gb ddr2 ram + GeForce 7600 GT and when i was playing early version somewhere like 1500 AD game had become very laggy and crashed quite often, but still, i couldnt stop.. :P

*sigh* and dl takes more than 3 hours, i hope i wont get corrupted file...

and i will probly miss some features from bts, so fast bts conversion would be nice.. ;)

But i know, its impossible to make fast conversion, all things should be rebalanced and so on...

Btw, good job guys, cant wait to test this..

I posted my rig above, and i get about 1000ad, than its hard to play.
But with out speed optimazing with moving Python to SDK, slaves dying after improvement, AI unit production restriction, 1 less civ game is playable till 800ad, than its just hard to play. Laggines begains about 1500ad.

:goodjob: :king: Downloading now. Thanks guys.

I gave it just a very short trial then I thought I should come back to offer well deserved thanks for all of you. From what I saw so far this is a complete make-over of the mod. It is worth every minute, hour, day of waiting for it.

Thanks again

ok guys, please stop giving your comments here. move on to the new thread. :)

Peter, you see what you have done? :D you should not have announced it in here lol

Quitely waiting for Houman to release 3.0 since I am playing BTS. Hurry up already! My rig is old Athlon 64 3400, 1 gig ram, Geforce 6800 GT. I found that if I dont coninually zoom around the map and pull in and out I usually will not crash. I love Total Realism and have played it since Civ4 has been out! Way to go and great job. I am waiting for BTS version!

:goodjob:

when does BTS version come out???

EDIT: it would be really cool for an addition to the Next war epic mode
would u guys consider adding in the future era to a version of the mod eh?
i play the next war epic a lot, its really fun

Pirates and Privateers in total realism?

How about getting more pirates into the game?
In the entire time, the pirateing was a big problem when traveling far away. And still nowdays outside the african west coast and in the Indonesian area there's still in these days pirateing going on. This would be a nice part of the game. pirateships would then be spawned on the seas the same way as the barbarians on the land.

Privateers, ships who sails under pirate-flag, who can attack all players, even if they not are at war. It would be nice to have this choice in the sailing-age.

We're already considering it.

Does anyone know the hardwarerequirements (about recomended) for total realism? Is it mutch above the main civ4? I'll soon buy a new computer, and because I'm playing mostly strategygames, I'll proppably not buy a computer mutch better than this than the requirement of this (of corse depending on the price of the parts). I know from earlier playing last year that my mother's computer took quite long time (5 minutes or something like that) loading the world map, and that wasn't an old one...

Last year it was the version without the speed optimizations. :)

Anyway, I'd say the amount of RAM is most critical - get as much as you can, 3 GB preferably (at least 2). A good CPU also wouldn't hurt, but is not an absolute necessity. Any Core 2 Duo would be great, though.

Awesome mod, allas my core duo only has 1 Gig of RAM, so I guess it is not a bug when I get a Memory failure after the graphics of units and improvments turn black..
I'll have to wait until I upgrade or change my PC:cry:
