OOC:
I suspect the Hooded Justice is no one less than Adolf H.

OOC: The truth about Adolf S:

Spoiler :
If you read The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, you'd see that "Schicklgruber" was one of Hitler's family names that could have been (Hitler was glad that never happened; "Heil Hitler" sounds better than "Heil Schicklgruber"). You can type the name strait into Wikipedia, and guess who you'd get?

OOC: Working on it... on page 241... but I read that much, at least (it's in the first chapter). It's pretty good.

To Arabistan
From Ottoman Empire:
We wish to aid your nation on standing on its feet after Virginia's horrid interpretation of our agreement. We are willing to send [8ep] this turn, which should replace all of the damages incurred by Virginia.*
We also would like to invite Arabistan to join the United Islam Pact for future protection.

* [it costs 5 to raise economy 3-> 4, then 6 from 4-> 5, a total of 11. My 8 + Arabistan's 3 = 11].

To Sinkiang
From Caliph Mehmed VIII
I hereby demand your government once more allow for the toleration of Muslims within your borders. I will personally lobby the The General Assembly for more severe actions from my Empire should you fail to comply with this demand.

What's The General Assembly? Is it like the UN?

The General Assembly is the Ottoman bicameral legislature. Considering the Sultan has been turned into little more than a figurehead he would need to lobby the true power of the Empire in order to push his agendas.

As part of the United Islam Pact we also second the notion to invite you to join our Alliance. We to will aid Arabistan in getting its footing back after the occupation of Virginia. We will be send 6EP, this year. Which can used to rebuild your country, economy and/or government.

We will no longer allow warmongers to fund and fuel the bloodbath in China after the release and acceptance by the Chinese people of their new Constitution. In order to facilitate peace and prosperity in China, we will not allow armed westbound ships through the waters in and around the Philippine Islands, nor within 20 nautical miles of any New England coastline in Asia. This declaration will be backed by force.

Why would the Axis sink those ships?

Because we hate the commies and, like New England, would rather see the Republic in control of China.

This being the twenty-fifth anniversary of the onset of the current wars in China, I have compiled a total listing of combat casualties as currently estimated by year and government. This includes losses in internal disorder in Chinese nations and factions. It also includes casualties from related blockades and naval warfare. Now, this does not include civilian deaths, though if I were to hazard a guess, based on the lack of any strong centralized government that actually helped people until around 1919, civilian casualties are probably a nine digit number, including wounded, starved, and so forth. Therefore I’d state rather confidently that two of every five Chinese have in some way been injured or killed as a result of this war.

Estimated Casualties by Year:

1901: 271,500
1902: 693,500
1903: 368,500
1904: 81,500
1905: 310,500
1906: 120,000
1907: 257,500
1908: 279,000
1909: 228,000
1910: 571,000
1911: 781,000
1912: 738,700
1913: 540,600
1914: 228,000
1915: 483,500
1916: 698,000
1917: 396,000
1918: 717,500
1919: 610,000
1920: 349,600
1921: 1,122,800
1922: 744,100
1923: 857,100
1924: 878,700
1925: 1,493,300

Total Combat Casualties: 13,819,900
Bloodiest Year: 1925
Quietest Year: 1904

Estimated Casualties by Governments Involved:

Republic of China: 4,774,500
Union of Chinese Collectives: 2,661,100
Chinese Empire: 2,095,000
Guangxi: 1,209,000
Yunnan: 794,400
Russian Federation: 503,700
Korean Empire: 481,100
Jiangxi: 345,500
Sinkiang: 246,500
Fujian: 145,000
French Empire: 120,400
Republic of New England: 120,100
Shanxi: 113,000
Socialist Union of South America: 94,000
Republic of Italy: 49,500
Swedish Empire: 27,700
Portugal: 18,100
United Collectives of North America: 12,200

@flyinchicken: Your guess is as good as mine, but my wager is that this'd be a great time to pick up Chinese chicks!

@Book Budda: they fought briefly against Yunnan in 1903.

Get Back
TO: Republic of China
FROM: Georgia

As proponents of the anti-communist movement, Georgia offers 2 EP in aid to the Republican government this year, 1926.

TO: New England
FROM: Georgia

Should New England allow Georgian ships to pass through the Panama Canal we would be willing to help stop communist shipping to and from China.
