Analysis of New UU's

Carrack
Like a regular caravel but with one extra cargo space and an ability to carry military units. This unit makes Portugal the only nation able to safely build cities on other continents or perform naval invasions before astronomy and the advent of galleons. This along with a beeline to optics can give the Portuguese a large window of opportunity for uncontested colonization of other lands.

I agree. Its effectiveness is map dependent, but this advantage could be huge. You'll have to act quickly to fortify those colonies too! Otherwise, as in real history, bigger civs will move in and push you out.

Anyone else wish that the Man-o-War was back in? I realise that everyone gets a ship of the line now, but only a few navies were known to have ever built a real "Man-o-War".

I also wish for a Scandinavian Knarr or Longship to be added. Trireme replacing longships and Galley replacing knarrs would be awesome.
Longship: Replaces trireme. Str: 3, Movement: 2. Can move to ocean with risk of sinking.
Knarr: Replaces galley. Str: 2, Cargo: 2, Movement: 2. Can move to ocean with risk of sinking.

Man-o-war would be good too.
