can't win domination victory

Hang on, I thought the best strategy with regard to the farm/trading post decision was to spam trading posts in puppeted cities, but not in your own cities? Has that changed?

Also, I'm getting the impression from some of the comments that they seem to be suggesting that enemy civs should be wiped out before you (or they) meet anyone else. Does that actually make any difference? I seem to remember reading on another thread that even if you utterly annihilate another civ before either of you meet any other civs, those other civs, once you do meet them, will somehow be aware of what you did. Is that true?
