Yes, you get the TR slot(s) for capturing those wonders...
Thanks! Please do not forget to disable the map packs!I'm just going to roll a map and post it tonight around Midnight United States Eastern Standard Time.
Nice. I like that you encourage over use of the UA.Buy city states with MOV's - 1 point for every CS purchased, maximum of 5 points. 6 if done in 5 different eras. Just like the Austria map but with Venice.
The whole map or just every CS? It seems like a VC would trigger before you could do the whole map.Puppet the whole map - 5 points (6 if you never raze a city personally)
How would you upgrade? This seems too easy. Maybe 1 point for 3, 2 points for 6, 3 points for 9?Build/buy/upgrade a maximum of 3 Great Galleas's and keep them alive until the end of the game (They can be upgraded). - 1 point for each surviving Great Galleas, maximum of 3
Nice!Make MAD Money at some point during the game (500 gpt - 1 pt, 1000 gpt 3 pts., 2000 gpt. 5 pts.
Venice cannot do that. Not even with captured cities.Annex a city - 1 point

Also, I like points for building or capturing Petra and Colossus. Fits the RP and the double trade routes UA.
I have a ridiculously diabolical map I could post for April 1st if nobody else steps up.
My suggested points would be:
5 points if you don't want to kill me after the 1st 50 turns.
10 points if you don't want to kill me after the 1st 100 turns.
20 points if you can achieve any type of victory.
Difficulty level: Beyond your worst nightmare.
I'm not even going to spoil it by naming the civ (it hasn't been used in this series yet) or anything else. If anyone wants me to post this I will, and I fully expect a ton of hate mail.
I am not sure I can win on this map. I suspect there might be a couple of you that can, but even the very best would be challenged to not want to wipe a smirk off of my face.
Do you all trust me enough to post this based on this limited info?
(Hint: you shouldn't. The map I refer to is that evil).
you know, that's actually a good point, we've had what like 3 salt starts in a row
Puppetted cities are likely to be gold positive because they build gold buildings and work the specialist slots. The bigger issue is likely to be happiness.

Rome is a good case in point. You have such a short timespace on Diety to use your UUs and actually expand that to give them a weak start is really like taking their uniques away from them entirely.
Did someone say Petra? MMMMMmmmmmmmm.....Yummy.
Since I've never played more than about 20 turns as Venice (mostly because I don't like wearing condoms on my head), I don't really know how their UA's work. If they built PETRA do they get 1 or 2 more trade routes?
2 points for building each, 1 for capturing? Bonus for having both?
Thanks. You had to remind me of the DCL Rome game from last year. Tundra start, very resource light, and a very tough map to navigate to even meet the runaway. I played that game 5 times and the closest I came was losing a SV one turn from victory. It was far and away the most frustrating game I've ever played and I sincerely thank you for bringing back the nightmares that game gave me. 6 months of therapy all just went out the door thanks to you bringing that up again.
Haha my pleasure - I had that map in mind because its a good example of a civ that doesn't suit the map. While it can be a good challenge, if your positioned to be unable to use your UUs entirely then it makes for a bit of a stale experience.
IIRC, since there was a total shortage of worker stealing potential, I did use a couple of Legions to build all of my roads, so the UU wasn't totally useless.
Because I'm somewhat stubborn, I will go back and play that map sometime soon. Because I'm also lacking in integrity, I'm also going to use my prior knowledge of that map and try a naval assault on the Ottomans and take advantage of that rather rare Wonder that's waiting nearby on the Western land mass.
I sure hope someone posts something for April Fools. A few months back, StormTrooper had an interesting idea where everyone is playing as Venice and city states are turned off. The thread died and, personally, I never found settings that I thought worked very well -- but I still think the idea has merit!
For April 15th, I plan to post a Byzantium map. I keep rolling and playing them. Mostly they do not really work, but every third one or so is more interesting than my previous efforts.
Domination is designated VC. Proposed (re)revised achievements for Byzantium map follow:Starting warrior, Scouts, scarchers, CS gifts are all allowed. No turn limit, and all units (including UU) may be upgraded. You can train other units (e.g. a caravel), but for the achievement, they must not be used on your starting continent.
- Clear your continent with mostly only the UU, 3 points.
- Each cap conquered before Compass, 3 points each.
- Each cap conquered before Navigation, 2 points each.
- Each cap conquered before Electronics, 1 point each.
- One point each for Reformation belief, completing Piety, and ending the game with your as World Religion in WC, 3 points available.
- One point for each rival Holy City converted at the end of the game, 4 points available.
- End the game with your religion (by city count) as the plurality (1 point) or majority (2 points).
Stacks with the first achievement above. No constraints on training units.
By my count, there are 25 achievement points available. That is a bit much, but my Denmark map had 21 points available and this one is harder. Donkeyfish had a terrific game but only got 13 points. Everyone else is single digits. So I think these will work.

Which is the crappiest civ in Civ? Iroquois?I like these and am looking forward to seeing what can be done with the second crappiest Civ in Civ.
I would very much appreciate a Rome map. But the Rome DCL map was a resource-light tundra start without in the way of worker-stealing potential.I did have an idea about making a Rome map - something like a resource-light tundra start without worker-stealing potential. To utilise the Legions for road building. Maybe I will work on that idea a bit more...
