The Most Serene Republic of Venice, once the greatest trading center in the Old World, is now placed in Civilization 4: Beyond the Sword. With only a settler and a few Warriors, they need a lead, one who they think can lead them to glory, victory, and wealth. This man is Doge Ursus, and he is set on making his nation proud, from four thousand B.C and beyond....

Genesis

Doge Ursus examined the Venitian Guard before they left to explore. They stood ready, and waiting. Most of them looked very anxious. The Doge saw one man sweating bullets. He went up to the man and asked, "Is there something wrong?"He looked the man in the eye.

"No Sir!" He replied and immediatly stopped sweating. Ursus smiled and adressed the men.

"You are all about to embark on a journey into unknown territory, to face unknown creatures, and find new cultures. I trust you will all do your job well, good luck!" After that all the men cheered. Doge Ursus was pleased with his work, and left to adress the settlers, who were begining to found the new city of Venice!

Damn! I just thought about playing a storyline based on Venice after reading "de ti herskere", which is danish for "The ten rulers".

Long live the Venetians!!! (You should send your warrior to those huts and build a second city near the flood planes)
