Japanatica wants to win. And I found a threat to that victory. That threat is called Tenochtitlan. Their immense lead in culture for their city Tenochtitlan is the only direct threat to our Historgraph or Diplomatic Victory, and we need to counter that threat. We cannot make our citywise cultural lead much stronger, since we forfeited several earlier wonders for Swordsmen. I will call for only one war this term, and that will be the use of the Imperial Commando in Tenochtitlan , in order to stop their cultural lead for their Capital. we need to apply these imperial commando BEFORE the elite samurais are directly obsolete, and elites lose their elite status when they upgrade. The plan is to bring back Great Leaders we can use for wonders, and to prevent us to lose for Tenochtitlans Culture lead, and we need this operation in place within 2 or 3 turnchats, and that is why I start an early discussion on this. Grand Admiral Ali will be in charge of related Privateers and Imperial Commando in the Mission, and Eastern Admiral Chieftess will assist with her naval forces.
This will probably be the only just war I can advocate for this term, since we probably have all the resources we need, and can trade for the rest.
But we cannot fall for a Culture win for one city. It is also no guarantee the Imperial Commando will succeed, so this would also make the game more interesting. If we can bring back one great leader alone, this mission would be a stunning success, and the Heroic Epic in Regent Town actually opens a major statistical chance this hero will emerge. I would also like to have nominations for what we should name the leader unit.

MAP LEGEND

Light Blue is naval blockade, sheltering the invasion transports from Aztec Navy intervention
Red is Operational Area
Blue Arrows are Ingress points
Grenn Arrows are Egress points
We also pillage their luxury area and iron before we leave.

Are my eyes deceiving me? How would this make the game more interesting, it would drag us into a war with the Aztecs that we really don't need nor want. Unless sufficient evidence can be provided that the Aztec are a threat to our stability, freedom, and peace, no war!

Well, Tenochtitlan is an obvious target. we should call for some intelligence from FA here.

Great idea not only will it eliminate a threat to our victory but also provide us bases in which to stop any future potiential threats from the chinese

Yeah, this looks like a pretty bad idea to me. Our rep will take a hit, the Aztecs might make alliances with France, Zulu or Babylon, and if the culture is as strong as you say, there is a high risk of flippage, especially since we're too 'enlightened' to starve 'em out.

[YOU'RE JUST AFTER THE GOLD! AREN'T YOU! AREN'T YOU!

What's the first objective? Slaughter random people during local celebration?]

Edit: Also, I have no idea what is going on in that pic.

Well, we have a way to make the Aztecs initiate the war

Plus there are some important variables.
Heroic Epic makes Great Leaders a more common occurence
we only send in Elites, so Great Leaders are quite likely
Great Leaders produce Wonders
Wonders would alone make this operation worth it
Samurais must strike BEFORE they get too obsolete, or we need to disband them anyways
Elites lose their elite status when they upgrade
Samurai can fight many units for a long while, especially elites
We escort Great Leaders back with our navy, fighting a delaying action
We sell away their cultural improvements, then give Tenochtitlan back, even throw in some techs, luxuries and so on to create peace.
We make Aztecs start the war, and we have some means to do that

Conclusively, we only need to concentrate on protecting the rest against China and make friends all over the place.

We wouldn't need to sell anything, once we cap the city and give it back the culture isn't restored. Of course that would contradict with the plan proposed for keeping the city and wonders, and also having it be the most corrupt city in the world.

Provo, get another hobby. All your doctrines are doing is making the People less willing to show their will by spamming the forums. Its your job to make the little decisions, not there's, otherwise you wouldn't have a job at all. And this...come on, the Aztecs? What reason is there to even look at them?

What's the estimated culture? (besides looking at C3C) and the estimated time of their victory? That's something for culture to do...

I thing the plan is feasible but id like to have some marines to play some auxillory roles in the campaign

And when people express their opinions they are attacked and called embryonics or loudmouthed know-nothings.

Well, tell me all about attacks, I got most of them from the two of you this term anyways. And Epi in previous terms...

I don't even want to know what this plan is. Exploiting a weaker civ to declare war on us so we can [BS]justifiably[/BS] take away their only chance of winning is low. This is made worse by the fact that since they're on another continent, the chances of them actually sending any troops our way is 1%, while we have our ships just outside their door when [BS]they[/BS] start the war.

then give Tenochtitlan back, even throw in some techs, luxuries and so on to create peace

To top it off, you plan to bribe the Aztecs when you're done with them.

How does stripping the Aztecs of their achievements, giving the husk back, all while making them look like the bad guy protect the other continent against China? Apparently, that is our 'only' objective.

If you think we have a serious threat of losing to the Aztecs, then you must think that is justification enough to have US declare war on THEM. The fact that you don't puts into question what this war is really about.

Crimso

Easy, Tenochtitlan is the city that will reach 20 000 culture first and win the game.
Oracle And sun Tzu is a guarantee they will do that. And we need to do it before
MPPs. But again, people are free to let them win, or risk a very expensive war later on.

When I came up with the Peace Doctrine, it was a way of bundling the Will of the People into one easy decree that could be applied whenever, permenantly, and would effect every office of the government. It could be overruled by a poll, naturally, for specific occasions. Your doctrines are tiny, short-lived plans that effect only one office and are clearly your job. They are what we elected you to do, namely organize the military. They aren't doctrines, they're bureaucratispam.

As for invading Germany, that was actually to stop China, would help someone, would look good, and would present a challenge (which people seemed up to at the time). Your plan is just to rape someone.

It is not rape, it is an end to a threat to a diplo victory. At least people need to decide what win we should go for. Besides, we can use our Elite Samurais, or disband them, I would not advocate maintaining all these units if there are no use for them.
However, raiding Tenochtitlan for levelling their culture, enables us to focus on either Diplo or Histo alone, undisturbed.

Crimso I read it. And it was a very Amnesty-like comment to our plan to spend our Imperial Commandos on a last useful mission. (We want to delete their culture level, so they do not win, and we play this game for a win, right?) We want a histo or diplo win.
You can neglect to do so, but here we got the tools. Or we can take on a World War later on to stop that culture lead, up to you.
