Hi

I have a save here, i get a CtD every few turns and i have the feeling, that it has something to do with some specific thing happening, as i managed to avoid the crash sometimes by doing something "different" then i did before.

I can give you my system specs if they are needed, but atm i just whant to know if its just me or if there is something wrong in general.

I loaded that, hit "Next turn" and got a peace deal with Elizabeth. No crash.

Is the crash repeatable for you? If so, what exact moves do you make prior to the crash?

In fact i have no idea what is going on, sometimes it crashes and sometimes it does not, even if i play the turns the exact same way.

So maybe it realy is my computer?
It is neither the newest nor best, can something like a MAF happen?

I'm really not sure. It does seem that some people have crashes, others don't. What are your system specs? What graphics card do you have?

How are your system specs + graphical settings?
Because it seems that on low end system with high settings just the appearance of leaders can bring the game to crash.

Allright it was late yesterday.

I use:
Vista Home Basic (sp2)
Intel Pentium dual CPU T2410 2 GHZ
4 GB RAM
Nvida GeForce Go 7300

Grafic settings are all on lowest(including leaders)

I had a CTD today - couldn't reproduce it after I loaded the most recent autosave (nearest autosave was 7-8 turns before CTD so I must have done something differently when playing again those turns). Using 64bit Windows 7 with 8GB RAM and 1GB Radeon 4870 graphics card and the game is deluxe version from Steam (playing DX10/11 version). All graphics settings were at High setting. Crash occurred after I had pressed turn button.

Haven't tried dx9 exe. The game has worked since I loaded that autosave.. now up to 1300AD with cool wars

Yeh my gfx card sucks, the game sometimes has trubble loading some of the graphics, especaly when i look around the map very quickly.
I managed to play another 50 turns by now untill the game just froze.
