And sometimes they capture your starting settler.
I do have the habit to look around first with both units and after 3-5 turns I settle.
In the picture below I had to recapture my settler, so everything was delayed 4-5 turns and still the game was a breeze.

Yeah, my game would also be a breeze if I was Spain with my capital next to lake victoria.
That's epic speed, right? And your capital grows in 2 turns. OP!
Lake Victoria.... in a desert. So religion before any AI even on the hard difficulties, too.
With salt. I want to have that savegame.

You know what would have been even more fun? If he was a German soldier and the instant he shot that barb, he joined their side and the worker would be like what the hell man, we had a deal, you turned your back on me etc
