Barbarian scenario

Could someone please tell me what I am doing wrong or not doing while trying to get the barbarian scenario to work. After setup, I select 40 turns wait before starting. how long does the computer run before I can play? I've
waited 1/2 hour and nothing happens...

It took no more than a minute or two when I tried the barbarian scenario.

Same here...I forget exactly what I do at startup, but typically I hear a little barbarian music in the background that starts with soft drumming and lasts while the bar fills and the AI play out their first turns.

My barb scenario doesnt work either, the map generates ok and then I get the "you've been defeated" message and the camp goes from 100 to 4, meaning the scenario is totally unplayable.
Ive tried many different options and tried starting a normal game vs custom game, nothing works.

I have played several successive rounds and enjoyed the barbarian scenario greatly. I don't know why yours isn't working...
