Game closes when loading saved game

Earlier today, I downloaded the patch and everything was working, except my computer crashed when playing the wonder movies.

So I downloaded the new version of the driver, because my computer told me I should. (NVidia Forceware 81.94 I think) Now when I try to load my saved games, it starts loading and then it closes, and gives me the little screen that says "Civilization 4 has encountered a problem and must close."

My system is:
AMD Athlon 2.08 Ghz processor
512 MB RAM
NVidia GeForce 4 MX 64 MB

It meets the minimum requirements. And I did install the patch.

Anyone know what I should do?

I may have found some of the problem...

When I tried to uninstall my current driver (I used Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs), after I restarted my computer, it was still there. I tried removing it again and again it was still there. I want to uninstall the current driver so I can try out Omega Drivers to see if they will work better. Does anyone know what is going wrong?

Please help, I'm getting seriously desperate for some Civ 4...
