I'm trying to investigate a persistent between-turns game-crash, and I believe it crashes while AI civs are processed. Unfortunately the game was started in normal mode, and I cannot see what or which AI action/unit that might be the culprit. Is there a way to activate debug-mode from a saved game and continue playing in debug-mode?

CivEdit cannot load .SAV files. It only processes .BIQ (or .BIX or .BIC) files. (The reason I say this is because the only way to enter DEBUG mode is through the editor.) There are many programmers and technophiles on CivFanatics; they may have a program they've created for this purpose. Try the Utilities subforum in the Downloads section, or, perhaps, someone with more knowledge will submit a reply here.

In vanilla game it was possible to do such a thing as far as I remember. I you had to save your game as a "multi" and the next time you load it all map was uncovered but I am not sure if you can see what AI does.
