I was bored, so I decided to see how tough Deity is. I was Shaka of Zulu, up against Tokugawa of Japan on a Duel Pangaea. Not a great matchup, especially when the Protective AI gets more settlers. Anyways, I beelined BW and had Copper in the BFC! 
Got it hooked up and chopped/whipped around 15 Impis. By 2000 BC, Tokugawa was dead, I had won a Deity Conquest Victory!!! Now I can say I've won on Deity. However, I won't say much about it. It was a tad strange seeing me win. I expect the Civs involved had a lot to do with it. Cover Impis can do a lot of damage, even to Protective Archers, as long as there are enough of them...
