I'm really upset after spending three hours on the early hour of the day trying to install Civ4 on my new computer. It won't install and give me the redundancy check fail. I remember when I installed it the first time on my computer, it worked perfectly but this time it failed. It failed toward the end of the second disk and the installer pop up says

Feature Transfer Error
-----------------------------------------
Feature: DefaultFeature
Componenet: Civ4Component
file: D:\data3.cab
Error: Data error (cyclic redundancy check)
-----------------------------------------

What the h*ck??? I installed it just few weeks ago and it worked fine. I decided to reinstall my computer to get rid of all the junks and reinstall Civ4 and it failed.

Does it mean that the cd is bad? And how could it be since I can install it the first time (just a few weeks ago) and the disk 2 was in the sleeve all the time except for the first installation. The event log also have dozens of error said that device/cd-rom have bad block and warning about redundancy check fail as well. I even tried to copy the data3.cab from disk 2 to a temp folder in my computer. That doesn't work either. I give me copy error toward the end of the copying.
