AI trying to melee land units with melee ships glitch

I'm pretty sure I just found a glitch. We're entering the Industrial era and I just found France's army(largest in the game). I can't say that I'm too impressed with his tactics here.



As far as I can tell he's had those ships sitting there all game. He hasn't declared any wars(or if he did he didn't capture any cities), so the ships must be getting damaged when the barbs spawn a ship of their own.

And no, the irony that I was using an outdated ship for exploring when I found this was not lost on me. I'm planning to attack France soon, how many frigates/privateers do you think I'll need to clear out that force?

I would say 3-4 if you did it like a hit and run.

I don't know, my estimations are usually off.
