anyone know how to select all units in city when air units are there as well?

I am extremely frustrated with late game war-waging, due to the inability to "select all units" in a city with planes. Whenever I click this (to select all land units), the game just groups the planes. There is no way to get around this, as far as I can tell, and it forces me to manually deal with tons of land units. It could not be more annoying. There should be a way to achieve this goal (group all non-plane units in a city)

I don't recall this problem with the vanilla, just with Warlords. What you can do is Ctrl-click on a type of land unit, then Shift-Ctrl-click on other land unit types to add them to the group.
