I'm a long-time Civ'r--I've owned every game and expansion beginning with Civ 2 (including even the much benighted first Call to Power...) but apart from playing with some friends, I've never done any multiplayer. But I'd like to. The thing is, unlike most other multiplayer games, a session of Civ can take hours and hours, and I'm thinking that if you try to play with random people, it can be hard to reconnect with them to finish a game, especially if you aren't playing on Quick. Are there online utilities here on CivFanatics or elsewhere I can use to find people to play with? The Steam and the Civ 5 Multiplayer tools don't seem to offer much--although perhaps I've just overlooked/misunderstood them.
Any advice or information would be much appreciated. I realize that this may seem to be a general Civ 5 question, but I have BNW and want to play online with the expansion, so I figured it'd be best to see how people were arranging that.
