Civilization V: Who/What Am I?

And the answer is?

Whoops, forgot about this in the Civ VI hype.

The answer was Copper.

Clue #1: The later era icons (in the selected unit interface) for Great Musicians show a conductor, presumably a 'great' one. Copper is a great conductor as well, but of electricity, not music.

Clue #2 and #2.1: Abraham Lincoln was the leader for the U.S. in Civ I. He is on the U.S. penny, which was, until relatively recently, made out of copper (though it's now some sort of alloy).

Clue #3: Gold and Silver get a bonus to their tile yields after a Mint is built in a given city, but despite also being used to produce coinage Copper does not.

Can I make a clue?

Clue 1: I speak with the tongue of the empire that conquered my land, and which I later reconquered

Ashurbanipal is correct. Maybe my clue was too easy, but good guess anyway :)

In the game, he speaks Akkadian, the language spoken by Nebuchadnezzar. The Babylonians conquered Assyria, and then later Assyria conquered them back.

My next clue would have been about beards... ;)

I cannot think of a vaguer clue. My guess is the dash factors in somehow, considering its just "The" otherwise, which really isn't a clue.

I'll guess Diplomatic Marriage, Austria's UA.
