it seems i have options missing from my diplomacy screen, ive researched the techs but dont have the options to offer a alliance or defense pact on my diplo screen, shouldnt they be on there even if in red?
You need the "Permanent Alliances" checkbox to be enables via "Custom Game" start for permanent alliances. I think it's disabled by default... Not sure about the DP tho...
