Game freeze/crash during demand from AI

I am running the current version of BE on a Surface Pro 2 with current updates.

The game freezes/crashes around 80-150 turns into the game when an opponent finally makes any type of demand. Always they "offer" favor for something like titanium or energy etc.

The animation plays until I touch the screen with any gesture and the game is frozen and I must x out to windows.

I only have the on screen keyboard. Clicking with the stylus and gestures anywhere dosnt help. This happens every game every time a demand is made.

I turned off the reward popup option and am also running the game on all minimum video resolution and graphic options.

I'm having this problem too, which is weird because I didn't have it until a few days ago. It doesn't always happen but when it does, I have to abandon a game.

This started happening to me after last patch.

Tried uninstall and reinstall. Save file is attached, if someone wants to see if it is something in the save (rather than something machine specific).

I did try uninstalling and reinstalling CivBE; same problem.

Windows 7, but crappy graphics (Intel 3000 integrated chip).
