The Term 3 Provinical Congress will come to order shortly.

I'm expecting a few proposals from you on new Divisions of areas from our newly conquered territory, to the Entire Western Continent (Old World).

You can either

All proposals should be submitted in picture form. Preferably .jpegs

Whether Attached or Uploaded, either is fine.

So, let's get to work.

Old Provincial Lines:

I think we should include Doomsville (ex Antium) in Edo Province. That would complete eastern side from the north Shorin to southern Doomsville.

Other Roman cities: Rome, Ravenna, Hispalis and Baldur's gate should form new province - Far Eastern, or we could name it Eastern and consider Edo as Central province.

I have also two suggestions for new cities. Positions aren't the best possible but we would have decent cities there.

I didn't locate cities positions exactly as I'm not sure which are the best, but I would like to post it anyway, perhaps someone find a nice place to settle

This city would belong to Rome province.

I wanted to post this site earlier but the problem is Zulu borders expanded and the best position is in Zulu territory. Anyway, black inner tiles are NOT used by any city at all (i.e. they are wasted); Hlobane will not use almost any tiles because it can't grow.. Other lines are easy to understand. The city would belong to Edo province.
I suggest to settle 1 tile South of number 1.

Invy's proposal would keep the provinces all at approximately 4 or 5 cities. I think old Rome should have its own province, but I don't feel like figuring out what it should be.

I think all the Roman cities should be in one province. We should also found a city between Baldur's Gate and Mauch Chunk, to get those horses, which I think could be in Edo.

Until we decide on what to do the cities go to Edo.

And I volunteer as governor of Rome.

This is how the map would look like:

Rome would also get later its old towns that Iro's posses now. Edo would get Hloabane, Ulundi or Intombe if ever conquered or flipped.

Antium is part of the Roman road and irrigation network. Give it to Rome. And if we ever get Pisae, it would go to Hairando.

To add: Rome will get: Pisae, Veii, Cumae and Catarraugus when we conquer them.

That might be good idea. But I don't know, Rome province could be too large when compared with other provinces. Seems to me like all the provinces will be the same in size when Rome gets Iro's cities (except Zarnia ofcourse which is very productive and thus smaller).

Actually, my suggestion for the East is similar to Invy's, except that I take into account Future Conquests. As in the entire Continent :evil:

Dark Red lines indicate old boundaries, Yellow indicate New ones.

Basically, to add to the 4 cities Invy has set, I would also add all of the Iroquois Homeland, if and when we conquer it. Old Pompei, however, would be retained by Edo, since I can't see the Silk Jungle being split.

And, yes, Hai-rando would get All of Babylon as presently stands, again if and when...

And that's not all...

Yes, I know we don't control anything in the two "Northern Sectors" I've designated. m Again, I reference Article O, which says that boundaries must be set in advance of Settlement. Which is bunk, I know, but still, if you've got it, then why not use it?

I would also designate an "Externia" Province for all Lands not on our Continent. (Something that is on our Continent for this purpose includes those lands connected by only Coastal Tiles.)

I must agree with the borders. Maybe later in the future we could make some changes if needed because some provinces could be too large. But for present time, this map is just perfect.

Thake a look in that eastern settling place near Zulu. I counted and that city in Zulu territory would have (when expanded) 10+ tiles to use.

If we settler 1 tile SOUTH (i.e. in our territory - thats only option for now): city would have 14 tiles after expansion (if we get some Zulu territory by culture). If we don't even 10 tiles is good enough for the starting position and we will surely get more later in the game. **I didn't count shared tiles with Shorin and Corrino besides 3 basic tile (primary area of new city). These 3 tiles won't be used anyway until Sanitation.

I urge Domestic to seriously consider this site as it seems it does have very good potential.

So what is going to happen with this thread? Roman cities still have no governor and building qeues and other issues are in DP's discretion. We should make some order there and start to develop that part of Japanatica.
Lets get some more provicial borders proposals or you can poll yours SirDon because it seems perfectly fine. It will probably be rightfully accepted. The first step would be to establish Province and its borders and to appoint a governor.

Im not sure how province boundries are decided but shouldnt we make them population equilty between each province and i believe the capital should not be included in a province but declared the Capital Terriory or something!....and i reckon occupied territories should be under direct military control???? im not too sure if my ideas are viable though??

I'm assuming you mean population equality between each province, and of course I have no idea what this means. You want each province to have the same # of people in it? That's hard, since cities grow at different paces.

Capital territory as in something like Washington, DC right? Who would run the capital though?

Occupied/newly captured cities fall under control of the Domestic Ministry. The military would be too bogged down and that would cause an uneven balance of powers.

Actually, with the way we've structured things in this Demogame, the only area I have control over is any acquisituions in the "New World".

All land on our Continent is technically divided into currently 4 (hopefully 7) Provinces. This includes the Capital District of Zarnia (plus the 3 Ring 1 Cities) and currently Kitakinu, Hai Rondo, and Edo. I have proposed carving Edo in two with much of Rome (and all of Iroquia) in a new Province. (This would also cement the borders of Hai Rondo.)

And as for this... If noone raises any objections to my proposal (in Post #11) by 1600 GMT on Sunday, then I'll be presenting each half of my Proposal to the Respective Governors. Once I have their OK, I'll present the Proposal to the House for Ratification.

I object. We should keep things the way there are for now, and only divide up when we need to. That way the lines will work better in terms of population, production, and corruption distribution, which we can't predict now.

And Antium should be in Rome, dammit!

Could you explain this little better? Do you think on the on the maps in post #11 or something else?

And, I like the borders in #11 post but I would like to change 1 thing. Rome and Iro teritories are way too large for one province especially because we're going to build Forbidden Palace in that area. A normaly have nothing against bigger provinces with lower production cities (i.e. Parisian province). As I understand it you did come up with something about this in that quote above. Thats why I'm asking you to explain it little better
