I did this unit to be the UU of my Prussian civilization. Thank you very much to Aluminium to have added the smoke in the attack animation :goodjob:

Excellent unit. Nice job, CivArmy

Nice unit! :goodjob:
But the name's somehow strange  Jäger means in german hunter so calling it Feldjäger (field hunter) or somehow else might be better because just Jäger is someone hunting deer... AFAIK Feldjäger was the name of a pre WWI unit...

Actually, the Prussian OOB in 1815 included so units called "Jäger" definitely go back beyond WWI:

1 Garde-Jäger-Battalion
1 Ostpreußisches Jäger-Battalion
1 Schlesisches Schützen-Battalion

EDIT: I just dug further back and in the Prussian army of 1805, largely the army inherited from Frederick, the order of batle included 1 Jäger regiment, organized as follows:

The Jäger Rgt had three four company batalions with each company having 133 men. No guns (cannon) were atatched to the Jägers.

Not bad at all, your best yet I'd say, but that death looks kinda... ridiculous. His hat (and to a certain extent his gun) just flies magically forward onto the ground in a almost straight diagonal line, THEN he falls over. The fall itself looks pretty stiff and kind of strange too.

Other than that, I like the unit just fine.

You know I liked it from the beginning, so...
I STILL THINK HE LOOKS LIKE NAPOLEON!!!

I dunno...seems kinda old school Prussian if you ask me. Very proper.

As I said, just Jäger is i think not very common but in combination with something else like Feld- or Garde- or a further description it works well (like my example the Feldjäger)

Samez, the problem is in modern German armed forces the Jäger are only a small group because of the Panzergrenadiere. Indeed Jäger means hunter but it is the designation for infantry. In modern day it is the designation for infantry which fights normally not mounted in vehicles like the Panzergrenadiere.
