This is a placement for Gandhi of India

Civilopedia, Leader:Ashoka the Great was the ruler of the Mauryan empire from 273 BC to 232 BC. A convert to Buddhism, Ashoka reigned over most of the Indian subcontinent, from present day Afghanistan to Bengal and as far south as Mysore.

Excellent, CamJH has done a great indian swordsman too, so you could have a whole new indian civ...
Gives two posabilities, a whole new civ in that area along side ghandi or as a replacement freeing up the war elephant as a resource available unit (I have in the past had it available with monarchy, requires ivory ADM 4/1/2 or with polytheism ADM 2/2/2 depending on how you want them used...

like is said before i'll be using Asoka for the indian race can ne one suggest the units for him ?? i was thinking of including elephant archer to indian race. so ne links for the same.

I recently put Asoka in my mod and found several transperency issues.
Here are the corrected pcxs. Note that I renamed them to ASO_xxx to avoid collision with Ashurbanipal's pcxs.

Any chance you will change the medieval background then? The Taj Mahal is Muslim, and Asoka certainly wasn't Muslim

well Because Islam wasnt around at his time. I usually have 2 apporches to heads
1. Trying to get the Leader to keep his style/culture through the eras
2. Trying to show the civilization through the eras
