Another PBEM I decided to make. Based on the Age of Discovery scenario. All players welcome.

France - Civlord
Britain - Techguy
Spain - nivekclough
Portugal - Gnarfflinger
Netherlands - kingstuart
Inca - Icmancin
Aztecs - big mazy
Maya - Forever Civ

This PBEM is for C3C 1.22.

my e-mail is rodrigomsobota yahoo dot com.

Rules:

You MAY trade techs with native civs.
You MAY have wars in Europe. (Like the Spanish Succession War, just to be more realistic. Entire colonies can change from hands in negotiations).
Declarations of War should be posted in this thread first. You MAY NOT make sneak attacks on your neighbours.

Players can make official deals with another nations. This deal must be posted here to be declared valid. Secret deals, however, are unofficial deals that may be discussed by PM. I won't know anything about them anyway. The valid deals are:

-Territorial Treaties.
-Alliance agreements.
-Military Alliances.
-Non-aggression pacts.

Secret deals are more like agreements recognised by some players like the division of a defeated country. However, as they are unofficial, nobody will receive penalties if someone break such deals.

Official deals are going to be valid for a specified amount of turns until they can be discussed again or cancelled. You may discuss terms via PM, but the players must post the complete Agreement in this thread in order to have it recognised. If one of the players break an official deal, he will be punished according to the gravity of the violation. He won't be able to play some turns.

Current Treaties:

Cuzco Alliance

Spoiler :

As proposed in this forum:

And if he does,he could specify what kind of agrement it is:me,myself propose no-agresion pact,help-in-defending-teritory and of course free-trade pact!...and propose initial duration of 30 turns(1/5 of whole game)...of course with posibility of continuing with it...

Here are the terms:

1. No member of this Agreement shall attack another member. An attack will be considered a violation of this treaty and will result in penalties for the responsible player.
2. All civilizations who sign this treaty agree to protect their partners by declaring war on every enemy that attacks at least one of the members of this treaty.
3. All members of this Treaty shall have a free trade of luxuries and resources.
4. Well, this is only my draft... Propose some other clauses...

This PBEM is CLOSED for subscriptions now.

Looks at list of PBEMs... I can fit one more. Btw there are no Iroquis in the MP version of Age of Discovery. There are also Netherlanders however.

I'll take any European power except England please! :D

for rules, how about the rules used in the AoD pbem? Link will be here in a moment

Thanks for the advice.

Yeah, I am still thinking about the rules, any suggestions are welcome.

so, here we are: let's reposition the resources. Tech trade with natives IS allowed. And warfare in Europe IS allowed. Just to have more action :D. More rules to be changed or added soon.

The only problem with warfare in europe, you lose your European capital, and it is moved to America. This allows for faster transport of treasures, and is an unfair advantage. So I'd, for example, declare was on Portugal and let them take my cities after I was set up in America. (or even if I didn't let them, they might still take it) Then it takes me 2 turns to move my treasures compared to 10. Big difference, IMHO.

Exactly, let's make the whole thing more human and realistic. When Napoleon invaded Portugal King John went to Brazil, this time a portuguese colony, and there established an independent treasure institution and other stuff. But players must have a reason for declaring war, and other things I will specify to avoid a "fake" war. Do you accept this challenge? Any comments and suggestions are welcome.

I just don't like the possibilities that come with it, plus it slows colonization, but if those are the rules I'll play by them! :D

i would like to play a either the dutch or portugal.i have not played the scen in a while and not in pbem.....

king stuart

I'd like to play, Portugul is my first choice...

hey...count me in....
...I see that all of the Europe powers are already taken so I would like to try with Aztec-s :-)...pm-me if it's OK!!!

OK! Again, glad you are in!

So, TechGuy will be Britain and Portugal is still yet to be decided. Well, Portugal is quite an easy choice for settling the new lands, so the player will have to be the most n00b in this PBEM. Tell me you levels, kingstuart and Gnarfflinger. Then I will decide who is going to be Portugal.

Big mazy, there is no problem in being the aztecs. You too are in :D.

If there are any nations going begging then I would like to give it a stab ... never played the AoD before so it should be interesting for me ;)

What civ, Forever Civ :)? Send me your e-mail also. We are gonna start this PBEM soon, I hope.

Well Gnarfflinger and Kingstuart are both very good PBEMers, so I don't think it'll make a huge difference.
