Aaglo: Kawaii is Japanese for "cute", which these guys aren't......

They are well animated though. ;)

They are great, however the first one gets its right hand below the ground while running. Since it isnt digging the earth up- or was that the intention? it cannot be seen if the same thing is happening with the left hand) this looks a bit strange, and in game could look like an error in the animation :)

@space one,
no, I don't mind at all :)

@varwnos,
yep, I know there are flaws in all my run animations (in those units that can run, i.e. they have legs of some sort) - but with current knowledge and capabilities, I cannnot fix them :) . But it's a run-animation, and it goes by so quickly those flaws are barely noticeable (especially since the unit is moving during the animation).

Arrrr! Now Datz a Bildge Rat!

The Bilge Rat is the coolest. A living boat! Bwa ha ha!

Oops, I think I was requested to do the Bilge Rat a long ways back, thanks for doing it for me aaglo, it looks good.

@varwnos
you'd probably notice a bit of that 'error' in all POV Ray units with legs, walking is achieved by applying a math function to the leg shapes, having a shape not go through the floor would require VERY precise adjustments of this fairly complicated formula (and a HECK of a lot of re-rendering to watch for mistakes). There's no code to by default prevent things from going through the floor (otherwise my boats would have some serious issues with so much of the hull sitting below the floor/water:eek: ), so we'd love to make this perfect, but I'm not sure that's even possible while maintaining an organic looking walk.

Anyways, hey aaglo, how'd you make those tails?

Your definition of "pretty" sure is weird, Stormrage. ;)

Nice job, aaglo. :)

Thought so, blob wouldn't quite work for that, throw a whole heck-load of those onto a blob and you could make a pretty crazy squid or something.

Hm, you could do a Kraken (not really a request, I don't need it, but it sure would be cool):D
