THANK you for this! I have just created a loss angeles sub and was going to just reskin the standard sub.

Now all I need is a Han class submarine and a Victoria/Upholder class submarine.

Question from a noob...

What are you guys using to knock out these units, and where can you get it from... I'm really interested in learning how to create these type of models / units.

I use 3ds Max for the model, the .NIF Viewer and 3ds Max for the animations, and Photoshop for the textures. The .NIF Viewer is packaged with the plugin for 3ds Max that allows us to export models that Civ4 can use. See this thread for a 30 day trial of 3ds Max (I recommend version 7 if you've never used it) and the plugin.
