I'd like to leave the archers currently building to finish and then build 1 more in Toot Uncommon. I'll post my proposed war plans in the war thread, so I won't repeat it here. My war plan then envisages building crossbows as a priority along with the others you've mentioned. The plan only really covers the defensive phase of the war, but I've assumed it may drag out a bit - if Bismarck accepts peace and withdraws, we should stop the TC and re-evaluate what we are building.

Courthouses and markets are more tricky - there we trade off military units for economy. A concerted plan among the governors to build one or two at a time while leaving unit building capacity could work though. EDIT: noticed you've mentioned this below.

This seems good. My current plan assumes defence will go on for a while (it seemed safest to assume Bimsarck will not settle). If this is the case, it may take us a couple of TCs to dislodge German troops and be building (and moving) units ready to attack.
I have thought about which cities we might attack:
- Dortmund (by the lake) - fairly weak (though it has walls) and once we get troops there it will be very difficult for Bismarck to reinforce it. However, our attackers will need cover to the rear.
- Berlin - clearly an important city and would be a major blow to Germany if we get it. However, this will not be trivial. It didn't seem terribly well defended last time we saw it, but I assume it's got walls and will be better defended now. We won't be able to surround it.
- Hamburg (to the north) - poorly defended last time we saw, though it had walls. Near gems which Bismarck might be relying on for happiness. However, I don't like the thought of taking our troops through all that jungle and Bismarck will be able to reinforce fairly easily
My thoughts at the moment would be to go for Berlin and if our attackers got lucky against German troops, let some divert to Dortmund to see what they can do.

I may be biased, but I would like to see FI complete the GT. One of my concerns in Auda City - I'm not quite sure what it is going to do and it has a lot of unhappiness. My palns have assumed that no military units will be built there while the governor does what is necessary

How would you feel about consolidating this position into the minister of interior and some of it to the President or another office. I think it will be a good idea. I also thik it might be time to reorganize our states if we add another city or two. For Imprevious and New Port City could join West Licentia. A city South of BW could join Auda Minor. That would leave MG and BW as the only "free" cities.
I agree and have posted in that thread. I agree we need to do something about Minister of Culture as that is not a very big role at the moment.
