I thought I'd redo my first Poser unit...enjoy! :)

It needs work.
The attack should be straight. It is 1/2 a stab, 1/2 a slap.
Have you played with use IK chains to keep parts you want to control from moving when you don't want them to?

Nothing should go through the floor. Not even for 1 frame. This is fixable, I had to fix it myself in my axedude. Similarly I was not lifting his feet high enough in one of his actions and it looked like one of his feet was sliding. Simple to fix.

bottom line:
This unit was not read for release.
The mistakes are of the careless variety that are easy to fix. The unit looks interesting, but you've been doing this long enough now that you should be able to do more QA. Please take the trouble to fix these things. You are the only guy making these sorts of units right now and they would be very very useful if only you tested them first.

I disagree about the attack. I think it looks fine. Your standards are just too high. Got to moderate a bit, with all due respect.
 
I agree that the attack animation looks a bit weird, but im going to use it as a pre Bronze mesoamerican spearman, just a matter of replacing the animations if you do make improvements ;)

That has got to be the oddest spear attack animation I have ever seen. Look at 'im. He is moving his shield away from his body, opening himself to an attack.

Go get your worst friend and a spear. Try impailing your worst friend with the spear in the manner of your unit. Not going to work, is it? Even if you do manage to hit him, it won't hurt. You arm is weak when its extended like that. No, tuck it in, closer to the body, and have it thrust straight foreward. Then your worst friend is dead.

Go. Go do.

And then fix the attack of this unit.

And before you go giving me that speach about attack variety and what not, don't. There are only sso many ways to kill someone with a spear, and that sure isn't one of them.
 
Here are all the poses from my Koori Spearman.
-You will need to change the attack alittle, so that he will block with his sheild.

-Also when rotating the Death, you will need to rotate the first and last frame, instead of just the first.

-You may also have to find paperdoll and the spear, mine are under figures/civ3 and props/civ3.

-Also you will have to write down every axis you put hats or other clothing, since you have to apply it to each file.

I like the clothing, but I dont like the skin tone. Ot just doesnt look right.
