What the...? I was just fired for sexual harrasment!??!?!

First things first.. I did not do anything that constitutes sexual harrasment. AT ALL!

What happened last tuesday was i asked an employee if they would ever like to go on a date. She said maybe then before she left at the end of her shift i asked once for her phonenumber and she never gave it.

I was upset but i did nothing that could be considered sexual harrasment.

Is asking out a girl suddenly sexual harrasment??????? What the hell is this world coming too? :shake: :shake:

Take my advice and NEVER work at hollywood video.
 
You asked her for a date and her phone number. I believe that does constitute sexual harassment. Just looking a woman can be SH.

I asked a woman for a date and her number when I used to work at Burger King. She gave it to me though, and management knew full well we were dating. Luck of the Draw I guess.
 
Did you ask more than once? How did you ask? Was there perverted undertones?

Usually, in the workplace, if you ask for someone's phone number and they say no, you are supposed to drop it and NEVER bother them again or else they could potentially file sexual harrassment.

One, even half-hearted, no is enough. It may be a bit extreme, but it is best to be safe when at work and just back off.
 
I only asked once for her phone number.

And she didnt give it but suggested i give her mine.

I did and asked her ONCE before she left if she got it.

And she said she would look me up if she needed too.
 
Was this the same girl that you (or am I confusing members now) called and asked to work with last week, but then bailed on your manager after you learned that you would be working different shifts?

No i didnt bail. I went to work anyway. And yes it is the same girl.
 
Well hey, at least kudos for not bailing! That said, did you happen to mention to your manager that you initially only wanted to so you could work with that girl? I'm just wondering because if you did, and then the girl came to the boss and complained about you asking her out and for your phone number.. well, they may view you as a little stalker in training.
