All devotated civfantics Join!!!!! This is gonna be a long term game so dont expect anything to happen in the first weeks.

Sounds like fun, and then if we can get hold of a pitboss server, the game can be converted to pitboss.

Regarding the Map, can we make it fractal?? This setting achieves a more unexpected land area.

Can I also choose civilization?? I would like to try out Gandhi. Never tried him before.

I'm on board, although I don't know how I'll fare as this'll be my first online game. I'm an avid Civver, though, so won't be left in the dust (too badly, anyhow :-) ).

PBEM games are for the more experienced online players. Sorry for that .Play some more online games on gamespy before playing a PBEM game.

sure u can have Ghandhi. About the map: we will have to see what the other players like for map.

Forgive my naivete, but out of curiosity, how experienced must one be? I'm involved in one PBEM game already, and have been playing PTW since 2003. I know that there are others who are far more experienced than I, and far better strategists, but I think that would be true for most people on these forums. I'm not trying to start a bragging contest, but I'm wondering why one must have all this gamespy experience before they can play PBEM games.
 
I'd like to join as Catherine of Russia. I play Civ since the first part...

I participate in several PBEMs already, but want to enlarge my experience with cIV...
 
OK game is ready to start. These are the settings now:

balanced, ancient era
5 - 8 players
map size small I think small is best for 5 players if u think not let me know.
barbarians yes not raging
speed Normal
temperate climate

plz email me ur email adress, timezone and ur leader and we start this game!!
 
Received the first turn, but I have no e-mail adress!!
Entered mine into the game, but please I need Catherines e-mail adress

Could then everybody please enter their e-mails into the savefile

Honestly I have no idea how to enter the Email address into the save or the game...please advise me...
 
When u loaded the save game go to -> Main menu -> Your details.
fill in ur email and smtp server.
I use hotmail does anybody know what the smtp server is? i have no idea.
 
Basically it is your outgoing mail address that you use. Basically it your home email address. Check with your ISP for your SMTP. From what I have heard, it is not a good system and thus it is better to do it manually. I use Yahoo to send my saves.

OK thx i tried my ISP settings but it didnt workout so i though that maybe hotmail uses an other server.
My first village visit gave me an map..... of a clear blue ocean. LOL
