This is the official NATO thread. Here is anything NATO, from debates on actions to people who want to join NATO.

NATO Rules of Membership:

1. Any nation who wishes to join has to be passed by all NATO nations' vote.
2. NATO nations have the right to propose actions for NATO, vote in proposals, and may request aid from other NATO members.
3. NATO members may NOT invade another NATO nation, impose trade sanctions/embargoes on other NATO members, request another NATO nation to break these rules, request another non-NATO member to invade a NATO member, or purposely sabotage another NATO members' efforts unless it violates the rules.

Current Members: EU (Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourgia, and Germany), US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Japan, Brazil, Morocco, Arctic Union, and Turkey.

Former Members:

Ireland (Occupied by GUK)
Denmark (Occupied by UF)
Scandinavia (Occupied by UF)
GUK (Now kicked out due to breaking protocols)

Members kicked out/former members and were admitted back:

GUK (Invaded Ireland for reasons of terrorism)

Resolutions: None offered.

The GUK would like to present its reasons for the invasion of Ireland, and seek its return to its status as an NATO member.

The US will listen to the GUK's reasons for invading Ireland and question them.

1: You say that you invaded to get rid of terriosts.... correct?
2: Couldn't you have worked with the government of Ireland to get rid of the camps while both governments maintained control over their own nations making an invasion unnessecary?
3: We are willing to allow you to join NATO, (pending approval from other nations) only if you agree to leave Ireland and allow a UN peacekeeping force to move in and dislodge any terriost camps and restore order and government back to Ireland again, will you agree to do this? (will propose resolution if GUK accepts question #3.)

Where is the GUK? They have yet to respond to my questioning. I dont think they want to get in that badly.

As for allowing Cuba, the Hispanic Union and SAU. America has no objections and is voting in favor.

Quite simply Ireland was a haven for terrorist attacks on mainland england. We have taken it under our wing, and once construction of the Irish Sea Tunnel is complete we will be joined and the GUK will grow.

Do you accept this, the Irish want to join the GUK appart from a few hard cast rebels?

The US reminds India that every nation is in NATO, you are only kicked out if you break of our rules. Like France....

Actually, no. Lots of nations aren't in NATO. India will have to pass the votes of several members first.

Oh, yeah that is right, my bad, I must of been thinking of the UN. :mischief:

Do you guys even know what NATO stands for?

North Atlantic Trading Organization.

I highly doubt Asia borders the Atlantic Ocean and neither doest India... therefore the USA votes Nay on both.

There shouldn't even BE a Asian Coalition, that job is covered by UFAR.

And Australia didn't border the Atlantic Ocean, but it was also part of it.

But I digress.

Yeah but I think they were a part of England or extremely close that we decided to allow them to participate.... but yes it is intriguing, I must find the reason behind this. *scurries off to find reason*

Did you find the reason for australia being in NATO

It is in there becuase when the UK signed the treaty Australia was one of their Commonwealths so it was automatically accepted.

Now they are not represented anymore, I cannot find their membership in NATO.
