IGN Article by Dan Adams (May 25, 2007)

I believe it was posted in the regular civ4 forum yesterday, but might as well bring it over here now anyway.

I really gotta get of this forum now... I could be trapped here for days reading all the new info that seems to come in hourly (when it rains, it pours).

Was there really nothing new in this at all, or did I miss something?

I'm still reading it, but I did see a mention of anti-tank infantry. I'm not sure if the anti-tank gun is the same thing (confusing us), or if there's two different units.

It's new. It has info on the space colonization scenario (you play the part of a colony that loses contact with Earth and has to find the motherworld).

At least, it was new to me.

Though the Charlemagne scenario was mentioned in another article, it wasn't explained like this:

For example, one we were shown was about Charlemagne. The cool thing about this scenario is that when outside friendly borders, units won't heal in this scenario without supply trains following them along. These defenseless units will have to be protected in order for invading forces to continue their advance against the Sacarens.

There was mention of the Final Frontier scenario in the other article I posted, but this one has information the other didn't.

Edit: My favorite part of the article is this statement:

We'll also be running several features before the game's release involving the various scenarios and new features so keep an eye out for those on the pages of IGN PC.

Mmmm, yes, some things are new. But I must say the scenarios just don't seem interesting enough, despite the innovative features.
