Well as the name says, where are the saved games for Civ3 complete stored? I looked in the Atari folder, and couldnt find 'em.

In the Game folder:
My Comp > Hard Drive(Where it was installed) > Program Files > Firaxis Games > Civ3 Complete > Conquest > Saves

Well, for my Complete, it goes: My Comp > C > Atari > Civilization 3 Complete > Conquests. And then, theres still no "saved." I looked in every folder there, and I cant find them. Heres a screenshot.

do you have a Firaxis Game folder? Did you save a game yet? If not, and if you did save a game, then it is probably Vista, C3C doest always work right with Vista.

No, I dont have a Fireaxis folder, and yea. I have several Medieval European Mod saved games, a couple Age of Imperialism, some 'sandbox' games, and so forth.

i think you are using vista. i had the same problem. plus i could not get saved pbem to load. i had to turn off the uac user account control to make it work like
under xp or win 2000. hope that helps ..

Vista definitely has odd twists. The location of the the .ini file as well as the location of the Saves folder is in C:\Users\username\Local Settings\Application Data\VirtualStore\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III. Unless you have changed your file set up to show you all the hidden and system folders and files, you won't find it. Also, if you try taking the direct path listed above, Vista will tell you that you don't have access. For chuckles and giggles and I imagine security, the Local Settings folder has Deny checked for List folder/read data in the permissions for Everyone.

I appreciate your help, both of you. But I found it. It was right in plain view. I had to click on the "Compatability Files" button, and they showed up. :)
