Questions about Civilization Revolution?
Hey guys,
First a quick introduction: I'm Elizabeth, Community Manager at 2K. I'm going to be heading up all the community efforts for Civilization Revolution between now and release. I'm a long time Civ player since Civ II dominated my life back in middle school, and have been a severe addict ever since. My favorite Civ is the Russians, and right now I'm in a Pitboss battle and working on strategies for Warlords Barbarian scenario. The official community site for Civ Rev isn't up yet, but Civ Fanatics pretty much blows anything I could ever create out of the water. So I'm coming to you guys with a very simple question to start: When I kick off the Civ Rev community site, what would you like to hear about? Are there any features or aspects of the game you are wondering about that you'd like me to focus on? What questions would you like to grab Sid and ask him? I'm really excited about this game -- as a stedfast Civ PC Gamer, I was wondering how it would live up to my favorite game of all time. And honestly, I've requested a 360 be put in my office so I can play the in-progress build during my free time. All right. Ask away! Whatever you ask is what I'm going to use to build my community site, so don't leave anything out. -e. |

Did they officially change the name from Shaka of the Africans to Shaka of the Zulu. I heard something about it but I want to be sure

It was Shaka Zulu of the Zulu, not the Africans, I saw when I previewed the game at Firaxis' office (alongside Padma) earlier this month.

Hmm... A Civ list, some Civilopedia info, a bit on changed game settings for us old dorks as well as a new introduction for newbies.
Especially a bit civilopedia info would be great on each civ.

I'm curious to hear about the different scenarios. It seems like that's the part where Revolutions can really make things different and set itself apart from the PC series.

Two questions:
1. What happened to Persia? Civ isn't civ without Persia! 2. Are you really gonna answer our questions? If so, then answer some! OFF TOPIC: Just out of curiousity, does anybody here like my sig? |

How do you know?
She's never answered a single question. DanQ had to step in to answer my question, what about all the other questions? |

Will there be offline multiplayer. I don't play online and would like to play against my friends offline.
When will we be getting more news and a more concrete release date? |

"As we watch the days, the weeks, the months, go by, we wait patiently. We are waiting for the day, that glorious day, when the number increases. Yes, that special number, the number of hope and knowledge. What is this number? We are waiting for the day when that number increases. That number is 1. We sit here at our humble abodes, waiting. We are waiting for the day when the number 1, the special number 1, changes. Into another wonderful number. That number is 2. We are waiting patiently for the day, that glorious day, when the number 1, that special number 1, turns into the number 2, the wonderful number 2, for which we are waiting so patiently for. What does this number represent? We are waiting patiently for the day, that glorious day, when the number 1, that special number 1, turns into the number 2, the wonderful number 2, for which we are waiting so patiently for. That number represents 2K Elizabeth's post count!"
-- GigaNerd How's that for a tech quote?

lol.. umm thanks?
Well at least SOMEONE bothered to reply.. Here some more questions, if yah up for it :P..! Will the game be more 'ironed-out' so to speak? I mean we don't need another 'patch-the-patch' thing as seen with Civ4+ ![]() TOTAL vista compatibility? The appearance of some of the leaders (Cleo for exam), hot? or just a step down from porn :/? Graphics... suitable? or just laughable? (Cartoony) A playable demo? soon?... Any old fav music from Civ 1,2,3 or 4 in game? "Modder-Friendly" for Pc? System Requirements?
