TAM BTS Animated LHs

Version 2.1

These are animated leaderheads for latest TAM BTS 091f which replace the static ones

>>>NOTE: version 2.1 contains a no-crown Teuta compared to the picture below<<<

Installation guidelines:
1) Save a copy of Mods\TAM\Assets\XML\Art\ CIV4ArtDefines_Leaderhead.xml if you want a chance to restore the previous TAM static LHs
2) Copy the EXE file into your BTS folder (usually "\Program Files\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword" or "\Documents and Settings\[user]\My Documents\My Games\Beyond the Sword" depending on your preferences)
3) Double click on EXE file and confirm extraction overwriting existing files
4) Play TAM!!!

People on the left?
Do you mean the left part of each picture? They are just photos from popular movies and animated leaderheads (right ones) are based on them.

I'd suggest to use Mourndraken's Theodora as Teuta and there's some great Roman emperors by Ekmek. I do like the version of Semiramis that you have put here, I'll have to look out for that one!

Yes, I know. I periodically check the forum for new LHs

Roman emperors are great, but "unfortunately" they look like roman emperor

and don't fit other civ leaders.
Also Mourndraken's Theodora is great, but she is Izzy based like Semiramis.
I prefer to pick up different LH based, as much as possible.

I'm searching and checking for a better Decebal, Agamemnon, Viriato and Deiokes LHs

I think, you could easaly use Aureliu's LH for one of the "hellensitic" Leaders. Becouse of his beard, he isn't looking to much roman to me.

Version 2.0 is finally out

Although several LHs are based on the same model, each LH has its unique animation.
My goal was to collect on civforum (and sometimes rework) animated LHs similar to the static ones, as much as possible.

As I mentioned in the other thread too, we should probably make a v3 leaderhead pack
If you want to, I can make a new fpk for it, but I need the v2 files from your version

A few new LHs we may include:
- Den already made 3 leaders directly for TAM (based on the static pics), and plans a few more LHs: Argantino, Kroisos, Aeetes
- Younger version of Caesar (by veBear)
- Capo's new Dido?

I was thinking to a v3 LHs pack since ages

I absolutly love some of melcher kürzer and pencilgod LHs:
Semiramis
Viriato
Agamemnon

Although not evident, TAM LHs follow a logic: 24 different (base) LHs with 24 different animation. Look at the attached table. As you see some base lhs are still duplicated, but animations are different. I would maintain this logic in the new version as much as possible.

I also like those LHs, especially Melcher's works
We can of course keep the animation logic, will check all potential leaders' animations
My girlfriend drags me on long-weekend vacation in a few hours, but we should definitely put together this LH pack after I'm back (probably on Sunday)

Btw, how far did you get on creating or rather modifying LHs?
I didn't got too far unfortunately :/
May be mistaken here, but I slightly recall you are able to recolor and reskin LHs pretty nicely

I never worked on LH models with blender, apart the simple no-crown Teuta. Thus I'm not able to create or modify LH models. In the past I used LHs made by others.
I worked a lot in order to adapt animations to LHs, and I did it working on the nif. It was a huge work that I don't want to do again. Thus I strongly prefer to pick a working LH and put it in the next version, using the current background in most cases.

However if you, VeBear or everyone else would produce a deeply modified new LHs version, feel free to do that. I can't give too much support because I'm working on Civ5 now.

You need a 44x44 pixels face with a 3D border effect of 2 pixels

I'm not sure when I will have time to do this, probably after the next version of RFCE is released
Anyway, here are a couple more LHs:

Atheas/Partatua, Teres, Decebalus, Aeetes
Not yet sure about the animations though, will have to check all of them...

Aeetes seems really good.
Current Teres and Decebalus need better replacements, and the ones you proposed might be a chance.
However, feel free to work on next LHs at your pleasure
