Hoping this helps someone else. To aid in that, here are some likely search terms for the post in addition to the title: HP, Hewlett Packard, Pavillion.
I've had numerous issues that seem to be a result of video degradation--units and LH's disappearing, etc. Here is what finally solved it for me:
* Both HP and Microsoft have recommended "current" drivers for the GeForce Go 6150.
* If you open up the NVidia Control Panel, and you have very few options, cannot manage 3D Settings on a game by game basis, and don't see a SYSTEM INFORMATION link in the lower left, you are running the HP suggested Driver.
* The Microsoft suggested driver is version 7.15.11.6743. I located it through Windows Update, but you can probably find it in other places as well.
Here's the potentially tricky bit: after installing the Microsoft driver, your HP automatic update may suggest replacing it with the HP driver. Don't.
That's it: since the driver change, no problems. Hope this helps others.
