In the world of tomorrow!!
You just inherited 10,000,000 dollars and want to have a game made to your exact specifications. Doesn't matter the cost or if it will be popular... it is being created JUST for you. What will the game be like? Give specifics.

I would like a first person castle builder like Stronghold. The game is on a 3D engine and is scrolable like Civ 4. When zoomed in you can walk through the castle and the surrounding grounds and meet the people of your kingdom in which you can give them orders or quests. Castles are built in real time with time compression so 1 second is like a week or two. During combat it becomes either a first person "shooter" when scrolled out you can give orders on how to deply troops like total war and such.

How about we discuss this while backpacking around the world.

Seriously, yeah, if I inherited even a million dollars I'm going travelling aronud the world as soon as possible.

As for the game, well, that would take me years just to make up my mind!

I get 10 mil. and there is lots of things I would do too. Im just wanting to know your fantasy game.

Remake SimCity 2000 with all the new buildings and such from SimCity 4 and the best possible graphics.

Probably hire UBI and Firaxis/2k to make me a XCOM-R6 VEGAS 2 hybrid (multiplayer, FPS of course),

Though a true educational scientific game that Spore wasn't, and more, would be a noble goal.

3D Chrono Trigger :)

well along the lines of something like Football Manager; Office Manager

The box would probably be the coolest part

Pick your employees! Customize your daily memo! Declare casual fridays!

10 mil, I'd put it into a savings and retire to Manhattan while living off at least 100,000 a year. :D

Check post #3, please... Plus 100G ain't getting you far on Manhattan.

Im making it rite now. Its essentially like a fallout 3, but with squad strategy mixed in, quests, that idea of zooming out is applied as well. The key difference being here that squad members are just like charectors in an RPG, they each level individually, the only real problem with it is that I made it a tad to realistic, theres no health gain, bullets affect a level ten charector just as much as a level one charector, all that increases are individual skills and such.

The game would plug into my brain and I'd only be able to play while I was asleep. Then I don't know, it would probably just be a brain-port of Worms 2.

I'd buy the source code to MOO2 and Civ2, and work from there.

A procedurally generated almost infinite in size universe with colorful stars and planets to explore, where you can get off your ship and explore any planet you want, and somehow the technology is good enough to make all of them detailed and interesting, enough so that you could spend all your gaming time on just one of the worlds and still have fun. You can have all sorts of space ships, meet with alien races, build bases, do whatever you want. Maybe it'd have a multiplayer aspect but not necessarily a mmorpg style that becomes crowded with idiots anyway.

i think i would probably go along the lines of oblivion, that kinda rpg. except i would make it far longer, add many more side quests, revamp combat completely so that it actually took some skill, and make all the NPCs more unique... individual names, skills, etc.

Only $10M? That really limits things.
