Good news, but I'm sure they aren't the only modders creating file last month.

They weren't...I will try to have that update in a few days.

That said, it's nice to see BULL v1.0 released. :)

Oh, wow! I hope this appears in Legends of Revolution, Test of Time, Rise of Mankind, &c. :goodjob:

thx Thunderfall for the special BUG et al release news item. You have to get some benefit for providing the guts of the CFC HOF mod :D.

hey ruff hows it been?

anyway, how easy is this to incorporate into another mod, would that be the BULL mod?
Good thx :D.

We haven't seen many people merging BAT into other mods. We have certainly seen lots of people merging BUG (so many that we created a thread for them). Merging BULL means combining two DLLs and we have seen people talking about that but not actually doing (IIRC).

Check the BUG wiki (my sig) for details about how these 3 mods differ.

Question from a newcomer that knows almost nothing of the mods but has read that people love them, can I use all of these simultaneously? If not, which one(s) should I install as a current Noble player?

BUG mod is python and xml.
BULL is a DLL mod.
BAT is BUG+BULL+some graphics.

Suggest you play BAT but the extra graphics can be a strain on some systems, not to mention the download cost (200mb+).

what if i dont plan on making any sdk changes, could this be added to an xml mod?
I would expect that you could combine an xml mod with BUG, BAT or BULL pretty easily. Naturally, your mileage vary :D.

You won't have a problem merging GS. There are a few xml files that you may need to merge if you use the optional parts of the mod, but otherwise you just need to plop the files in. BTW - Any chance of BUG being on Modcast again? Maybe this time have EF do it so he can get all techy on ya.:p

well we always accept guests. i dont think i have turned down anyone (not even wolfshanze  ) so figure out who wants to come onto the show and well figure something out. probly wont be recording until after holidays (as were booked until then)

I hope I'm asking this in the right place. If not, I'm sorry.

I've downloaded BUG 4.2, BAT 2.1 and BULL 1.0, but I can only get BUG to work. I chose "Standard Install" and it loads automatically when I start the game, which is what I want. But I don't know where I should install BAT or unzip BULL.

Could anyone help me please? :)

EDIT

I've just stumbled onto the ReadMe file for BULL, so i think I only need help with BAT now. :)

Just run the installer, and just regular install. When you want to play BAT, then just go to Advanced in the main screen, then Mods, then click on BAT Mod 2.1.:)

Thanks for the reply. :)

Do I install it in CustomAssets? I'd like it to work only when I choose to, because I need to see how the extra visuals affect my system performance.

question: Didn't the planet generator used to have an option for flood plains appearing on non-desert tiles? I used to like using that sometimes and it appears to be gone now.

Not sure if it's just a Windows Vista problem. When auto log set, had problems reloading saved files. Windows message saying program error, and program closed. Since not having log set, everything OK again. Which is great as I really like this mod, makes BTS even more awesome.
