Great People Female Versions

Have you all forgotten about Mati Hari? ;)
And perhaps the Vietnamese Trung sisters can be used as names for GG's.
Madame Curie (don't remember if she was mentioned before) as a Great Scientist.
Pomponia Graecina as Great Prophet. Perhaps someone knows her as Saint Lucina, a rumoured early Christian in Rome.
Eva Péron as a Great Artist might interest the Spanish-speaking part of this forum for your project. ;)

Actually, for female Great Generals, I have added a large number of female warriors and military commanders of the past to the Great Generals list in my mod, WoL. I'll try to see if I can get it up sometime.

That are some good ones, thanks. Of course I'll be more than happy to add people who are not that well known in the anglo-saxon cultur (at least Eva Péron wasn't for me).

That would be a great help, thanks.

I think it's a good idea to start some list with names that I've gathered so far (most of them via wikipedia). I'll update this post constantly to keep you up to date. Also I don't know if I should add people who are still living. As far as I know all male names are from people who are deceased, so I guess I should do the same for the female names.

Saint Bridgit could also be included in the Prophets section. She's a Catholic Saint again, with the twist that she was Swedish. She built a famous monastery at Vadstena in Sweden and founded the Bridgitine Order. Later, she travelled to Rome and also mediated in the Hundred Years' war conflict between France and England. She also has a small connection to my hometown in Finland, so I'm biased again.

And how about Ruth and Esther in the Bible. We could also find some Islamic Holy Persons for the Prophet.

I've added your three nominations (thanks again!) and the 7 female prophets of the Tanakh to the list. Does anybody know of female prophets from the other religions? Or at least very important females?

What a good idea. A little gender diversity goes a long way! :)

Thanks, and a long way it is indeed. ;)

Well, I've finished the last two great people, the Middle Age and the Modern General, female versions.
Spoiler :

That makes the set complete. Next step is now to put them all together in a modcomp similar to my amazon one. Shouldn't be too complicated. :mischief:
If somebody has still some proposal for names that should be included for the great women, now would be a good time to post them. :)

Anyhow, here is the

like them :)

especially like the princess / knight mix for the middle age one (if it wasn´t your purpose, blame my fantasy for this imagination  )

Is there a reason why the medieval great general looks like Saber from Fate/stay Night?

Good to hear that you like them.

In fact it's not my design. As with so many other things I've harvest the talent of someone else here. But the description princess / knight fits quite well to her. :)

Is there a reason why the medieval great general looks like Saber from Fate/stay Night?

That's purely coincidentally I assure you. :mischief:

I love the modern female general, definitely works for all purposes.

Medieval one is good too...and I too notice a certain...similarity...

Similarity is no problem. I'd like to see SaibotLieh make a Lara Croft unit. But not now. I wouldn't have any use for Lara in my mod :crazyeye:

I have an entire female nation in my mod, and soon all the units will be replaced. And that's mainly thanks to these SaibotLieh units! Yeyy!

That's good to hear. In fact I was a bit uncertain about the modern one. :)

My pleasure.
Lara Croft.... Would be pretty easy I guess, but I just don't know which animation set I should use...

Also, good news everybody. I've finished my Female Great People ModComp, follow this link if interested :deal:: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?p=9160648#post9160648
The units are the same as before, so the download isn't worthwhile to 'only' get those. However, the modcomp has some other nice features, custom sounds for example. Buttons for the scientists are included now, but I've also attached them to this post if they would be the only reason for the download. They look like this:
Spoiler :

The modcomp is modular this time. That's a premiere for me. Hopefully, it works flawless. :D

I guess the modern spy's animations would be the best for a Lara Croft.

As you're done with these Great People, you could start making female units of famous ladies through history and keep them a bit semi-realistic and take inspiration from literature, arts and culture. I mean like anything from the norse Valkyries to Lara Croft. Like you did with the Saber girl.

I checked Saber out and noted that she could be pasted into my East Asian inspired civilization as well. She really looks good. You're really getting better and better.

Hm, it would be best if there was an animation set with two guns, but maybe I'll try the spy one some time in the future. For now I still have some missionaries femalize and there are some modern units on my list, too. But ideas are always welcome, I just can only follow a few because of the finite time I can spend on modeling. Saber just fit in here, so I took that chance. :) And checking her out is always a good thing to do. :D

The Fury Road mod has a unit which wields 2 uzi's. The second gun fires a bit on an akward angle but perhaps it is usable.

the old days - more guessing than knowing - attached a slightly updated version - but i fear there will be some mesh error in the shoulder area (the standing position is a bit hard to get it good, also use the attached nif as base - or add the second weapon fire node to the normal Saminfantry.nif)
